So the guy who was rapping on shadow of tomorrow is actually madlib, his alter ego rap name is quasimoto. If you want another very interesting album to listen to, one of my personal favorites, The Unseen from Quasimoto. It isnt nearly as big as madvillainy but its another tremendous album in my opinion.

So just to help out. At 9:50 on Raid, the intro sample (Nardis by Bill Evans) is a different sample than what is used through the rest of the song (Osmar Milito e Quarteto Forma - América Latina). Just happy you're enjoying such a dope album.

Fancy Clown is a crazy track because it’s one persona of DOOM (Viktor Vaughn) dissing his main persona. The only person who can diss DOOM is himself lol.

this is quite possibly my favorite reaction to this album. the difference between a normal reactor and a producer reactor is evident in this video. you picked in so much production qualities in this album that i've never noticed. great reaction. glad you enjoyed it as this is easily in my top 10 albums ever across genres

the Godfather vibes you feel are pretty common in most MF DOOM tracks, he samples a shit ton of old movies, cartoons. if you need some recommendations you can't go wrong with Operation Doomsday & Take me to your Leader. it's hard to play favorites with MF DOOM tracks, but those are what I still play today.

Summertime 06’ is an incredible album if you haven’t heard it yet! Also, I was 14 when I first discovered this album and my jaw dropped. I was not used to anything like this and I thought it would be just a boring “old people” album. But damn...I was not ready. This album fully opened up my way into underground hip hop. This is definitely a GOAT album. Not a single bad track.

I love how notice things in the music. like how the kick and snare are slightly off in Accordion. I heard somewhere that Madlib played the whole thing through just kind of winging it so it switches up so many times and isn't perfectly on beat.

My 3 top albums from him are Madvillainy, Mm.. Food and Vaudeville Villain, which is odd because I love DOOM's production and only one of them was produced by DOOM himself. His production is perhaps a little less technical than Madlib's but his creativity in sampling is out of this world. For that reason Mm.. Food is a perfect introduction to his style, if you enjoy that, I think you'd enjoy anything he could throw at you. A lot of personality.

Also, I'm new to your channel so I'm unsure if you do reactions outside of rap/hip-hop but you should react to the album Remain In Light by the Talking Heads. It has some of the freshest sounding production I've ever heard almost 40 years after its release.

It's gonna be a fucking ride, Doom inspired a lot of rappers, Earl Sweatshirt is probably the most obvious inspiration, Tyler is a bit doom influenced. Lord Quas is actually Madlib by the way ever heard Black On Both Sides by Mos Def? One of my favorites albums of all time and Mos is a HUGE doom fan. MM FOOD is an incredible DOOM album too

I was luckily (unlucky now) to have been into hip hop when this album dropped. The album cover is iconic and drew me in to the "staff choice" cd rack they used to have with headphones so you could listen before you buy. Favourite other non-musical part of this is that DOOM and Madlib write a list of what they drank/smoke/ate in the liner notes. A lot of weed and whisky was consumed during production : )
