Anyone who can listen to the first verse of this performance and then turn it off has no soul. Blues does not get any better than this.

I only got to know this songstress from two of the Kung Fu(1972) episodes, where I heard her beautiful voice. Very sorry to see her not alive anymore. A good actress and a great singer. She will be missed. I hope there are more recordings like this of her for us to enjoy.

I'm 49yrs old but could appreciate music before my time. I just watched her with Neil Carter in Cinderella (A Harlem story). Wanted to know more about her..thinking I've seen her in a movie or two. Hate her hair & pose on this...but all the same ..really like this. Strong actress she was.
