... I mean, you can't really blame him given how many people, innocent or not, Lincoln ended up 'deleting from the game of life.' Man was a walking m3rder machine. In other words, this man sounds like the average American man would have sounded like in the 1960s when faced with anti-⚪ madman (from Remy's eyes as well as any other regular person's eyes mind you) h3llbent on destruction. Lincoln literally annihilated the top floor of one of the biggest hotels in the city. By nearly any metric of the day, Lincoln would probably be considered a full blown t3rrorist vs Remy. Just a different perspective.

@@jakesoros2376nah we can fully blame Remy. FOH with that bs. I'm not siding with a racist character in a video game. Do you understand the racist in the 60s especially 1968. And do you understand what Lincoln went through?
@jakesoros2376
5 ай бұрын
@@finderkeeperrrs Doesn't matter, that doesn't entitle Lincoln Clay to commit outright t-rrorism, which he does. Blowing up the top level of the city's main hotel isn't ok just because he got screwed over in life That's what bothers me with this game, is that all of its fans cover up for the game's narrative and gameplay failings by citing r^cism against Lincoln Clay for being ⚫. Why do the cops immediately open fire on Lincoln Clay for any minor infraction? "hurr durr it's because he's ⚫!" Why are there no gun stores in the game's depiction of 1968 New Orleans, when guns could be bought from tire stores, pawn shops, malls, Sears and Roebuck, department stores, you name it during that period? "Hurr durr, da NRA colluded with dA fAR riGhT and dA R-cIsTs to shut down gun stores in the city to disarm ⚫ people!" (That was the actual reason given to Game Informer. Even back in the 60s, the NRA opposed most gun control bills, especially those that would have shut down gun stores in cities.) That reason you gave, r-cism, is always brought up when, outside of the enemies yelling mean things to you and a few stores saying you have to leave, even though you can't even interact with them unlike in Mafia 2, actual r^cism barely affects Lincoln in the game.

@Natalie Wayne I dont speak spanish, Natalie. All I am saying is that acording to multiple vietnam war experts, there is ABSOLUTELY no proof the hippies actually spat at veterans, nor called them baby killers, those were just rumour and there are actually no reports of that happening at all, and, probably are just stories that were told amongst soldiers that did not, and, this part is absolutely true, get a warm welcome by the society.

@Natalie Wayne and @Aveteran Player: There are sources stating there was no widespread disrespect let alone spitting beyond the US Gov't lack of aid/VA funding which is still an ongoing issue. If you listened to anti-war protesters their complaint was drafting largely poor and minorities to kill and die for nothing, not truly the soldiers themselves who did also protest while at home and at war (look into the GI Movement). This is corroborated in the books _"Working-Class War: American combat soldiers & Vietnam"_ and _"The Spitting Image: Myth, Memory, and the Legacy of Vietnam and Hanoi Jane: War, Sex, and Fantasies of Betrayal."_ where surveys and polls showed they viewed soldiers far more highly than military leaders and politicians, i.e. the people who made the orders these people were protesting. Doesn't mean some weren't mistreated as not every protester can be accounted for but for a sentiment to be this ingrained yet to never have any press clamoring to photograph these events happening at airports isn't a bit odd to yall? Not even 1 photo? Also neither Rambos are a true story. Even so did you notice the people torturing, triggering Rambo's PTSD and chasing him in the book and movie was the police? Not commies, hippies or general anti-war protesters but cops and in the book Col. Trautman who kills him. Plus Rambo's ending monologue of being mistreated at home isn't in the book, only the movie which was several years after the war when this "Vietnam vets being spat" rumor started to gain more popularity but the monologue also alludes the Gov't lack of help, the biggest part all forget of who gravely mistreated vets the most. So lets ask this, if David Morrell was basing everything on what he heard why make the main enemy the State and what they forced Rambo to become not disrespectful militant anti-war protesters/hippies or Commies if this sentiment was so casually prominent in the 1970s? Killing "civilians" wouldn't have been an issue as the National Guard (the same organization who join the cops to chase Rambo) prior to the book had already opened fire at Kent State and killed anti-war college students so they're fair game especially in fiction. Plus book Rambo kills several cops and National guardsmen including Sheriff Teasle and even police dogs so if being a cop killer was fine why wouldn't being a protester/hippie killer? Unless the grievances Morrell heard weren't of these people against war or capitalism but the imperialist US system that created such broken vets in the 1st place and discarded many once done. You can believe vets were massively mistreated by those who didn't want them to go to war as again we can't account for every protester. But IMO the bigger concern should've always been the Gov't who drafted, traumatized and brutalized these men not to stop an ultimate evil their own racist policies inspired like in WWII but to intervene in another country's affairs.
