This video is our Summer Getaway at Moonlight Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas. I started looking for buses at 7AM and took an LLCI bus from Alabang then hopped off at Turbina Bus Terminal in Calamba, Laguna. The bus fare from Alabang to Turbina only cost 70 Pesos. I waited for @blantzorella9518 at Jollibee Turbina, who I collaborated with on this trip (she provided me some video clips, thank you), she arrived sometime after 8AM. We had our breakfast at Jollibee Turbina and started waiting for the Alps bus (the only bus to San Juan from Turbina). We waited for a good 30 minutes and luckily there was one that stopped and there are plenty of vacant seats. I think the bus passes through Turbina because the bus is not fully occupied, when it's fully occupied it will not stop in Turbina. I changed my clothes inside the back end of the bus because I'm still wearing jeans, Blantz took advantage of the situation and filmed it haha. By the way, the fare from Turbina to San Juan is 207 Pesos per person, The travel time from Turbina to San Juan was about 2 hours, which passed through Ibaan right next to Rosario. After arriving in San Juan, we went to see the others inside Jollibee and jumped on a tricycle for that we paid 300 Pesos. Along the way, there is a checkpoint where you need to pay the Environmental fee of 20 Pesos each. Halfway to the beach, we stopped at a Wet market and there we bought our fresh food. The total travel time from Downtown San Juan to the beach is somewhere 45 minutes to an hour. There will be a pass way fee of 50 Pesos that we don't understand at first but it's like you are passing through a road that they need to collect from you. Now, we reached the Moonlight Beach Resort, and my first impression is that it looks like a nice yellow row houses that are well maintained with a big table, chairs, refrigerator, gas stove (free to use), few kitchen utensils, 2 bunk beds with extra mattress, pillow, blanket fleeces and covers. It also has a small bathroom equipped with a bucket, dipped, bidet and shower. The room cost 8,500 per night and the owner offered me 8k only which is still a good price considering its peak season. The entry to the beach is not far just 2 minutes away and the beach is nice but since it's a weekend there are a lot of people enjoying the beach. We checked out the beach and had some pics and video taken, went back to the room to eat lunch. Finally, we changed clothes to take a dip and we are shocked that its cold but it's fine, we stayed for almost 2 hours swimming the cold beach water. We went back and found one of our teammates arrived after a few hours. Started to prepare for dinner and had a few drinks. The next morning after our breakfast we went to the beach to swim and only 4 of us took the dip as it is still cold and sunny. We have to go back to the room to prepare to check out since we are only staying for 22 hours. It was a great experience I recommend Laiya beaches with an open mind (please know it's not like Boracay) and a budget friendly overnight getaway.
