@BrianMcDonald

I think as a "newer" company on the scene, they need to offer some discounts on the price in order to pull people away from brands like Lun and Elitewheels since they appear on par with those offerings yet don't have any breakout features that make it obviously better quality or something.

I had the Elite Drive wheels with the carbon spokes and they rode super harsh. Went super fancy and got some Enve SES 4.5's and wow! So much better. However, the Enve wheels are hookless and the internet suggests I am playing with fire with hookless. Guess its time to up that life insurance.
@PatrickLino

I suppose the idea of harshness is subjective. I don't find any of my carbon spoked wheels to be harsh. In fact I actually find steel spokes to be not stiff enough LoL
@BrianMcDonald
11 ай бұрын
Can't say I agree with the drive wheels being super harsh either. I started out with 25mm tires on the 65Ds, and they felt super solid and lively but never harsh. I recently tried 28mm tires with them and they make my "race" bike feel more comfortable than my endurance frame bike.

@@jacklalalaful I ride on a variety of surfaces including cobblestones and carbon spokes are fine. If we were still running 23mm tires at 140psi maybe there would be something to it, but we are pampered today with wider rims and larger tires at lower pressures.

Awaiting your video on the yishun bike. I note you pointed out it has a few shortcomings (eg not as good as the specialized bike on harsh roads). Have ridden mine a few times (still tweaking it) and will state I find it deals with road vibrations better than the VBR168. Experienced some headset movement when I installed their supplied compression plug, however when I switched to my Cane Creek compression plug (did not want to use it during the initial testing since its not as easy to get out as standard plugs), no play

@@PatrickLino Because it doesn't work as advertised. You would know since you also have it. It will sometimes detect a car and MANY times it will not. Many other times it will detect a car way too late. Luckily I can still hear cars coming behind me. I don't hate it too much since I didn't pay Garmin money for it but it would have been nice if it worked 100% of the time. At the end of the day I would still choose to have it on my bike over any non radar light. I have never used the Garmin radar but I would guess it's 1000000% better.

I talked 2 of my riding buddies into getting it and when we all rode together on the same climb, all 3 of our Magene radars were doing the same thing as in NOT DETECTING CARS.
