I've been using sketchup for twenty years now and it is a vital part of my work flow. I never thought about trying this and I'm so glad that there is a community of users who shares knowledge like this.

This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedivere! I've been using it to make lamp glow effects on walls, with the transparency to the outside and lowering the opacity to 65%. And shift-erasing the circle edge, of course.

I liked that - it is a novel idea for me. I am not sure right now when I will use it. But I am sure it will come in handy one day. Thanks!

Interesting. When you made the circle with 24 segments, if you had made the first one a component wouldn't that have made changes easier by allowing you to edit one and the change be reflected in the other 23 segments? This would apply to the square you constructed from the four triangles too.

That would be the way to do it! Especially important if you ever need to make changes or fix mistakes… which I never di. I mean, I never do.

@@aarondietzen2995 You never do, your SU skills are killer. I wish I could do a tenth of what you do so effortlessly. I'll get there, still new to SketchUp.

This sounds like a question which should be posted in the SketchUp Forums. You need to say what version of SU you are using, which OS and if possible post the model itself.
