I made this Magic Wand for a friend to house the engagement ring he used to propose to his girlfriend. I made two handles to fit the tip of the Magic wand so that one could be used for display purposes and the smaller of the two would be able to be concealed in his cloak. I used multiple techniques in this project. I started with powercarving the rough overall shape of the handle and then fine tuning it with smaller carving tools on the Dremel. I even added a little colored epoxy to the handle to stabilize a small void. I also implemented woodturning in the project with the tip and the second handle. It was a unique build to take on and has an Amazing Story to go with it! My buddy took his girlfriend to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando to pop the question (you can see the castle in the background at the end) and she Said YES!!!!! I am honored that i got to be a part of this awesome scenario and they have a relic that they can keep forever to remind them of that day.
