Ah, the Loire Valley, so many châteaux, so little time!
Join France with Véro on a new adventure today. Follow me to the small town of Azay-le-Rideau...
Many visitors come here to visit one of the area's "Star châteaux," elegant Azay-le-Rideau. Little do they know there's another magical property to discover just a few minutes away,
Bienvenue au Château de l'Islette!
Built in the 16th century at the same time as Azay (its "big brother") L'Islette is a lot more than a Renaissance castle or a museum: It is also the home of the Michaud family, who acquired the estate in the 1960s.
In the summer, they vacate the premises for a few months so visitors can enjoy l'Islette too. I won't lie: It was love a first sight for me. After taking this virtual tour, I know you'll understand why.
Follow the tour guide!

Erratum: [3:02] introducing "le moulin," now a boutique by the Indre river. I referred to a "windmill" instead of a "watermill" -- My apologies.
