I believe one of my favorite actresses, Aubrey Plaza (Parks And Recreation) was named after this song which I think she said she's embarrassed by it. I think it's a unique different type of name. The common girl name in the US is Audrey. Aubrey is a little more common in the UK but mostly a boys name over there. I think it's a lovely name for a lovely girl like Miss Plaza. You're missing probably their best song "Guitar Man" it's nothing like this one or "If ' please check it out along with Baby I'm A Want You" and "Everything I Own" these were all big hits. I still always have a CD of their "Greatest Hits" and still enjoy them after 50 years or more of listening to them. Please check these three out. ☮️✌️💕

Aubrey is traditionally a male name in most places including here in Canada and the Caribbean. That's not to say that it can't be both but I run into people now who think it's exclusively a female name, probably because of this song. And yes, Audrey is the traditional female version.
