A pair of common kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) has set up their nest in a planter on the ninth floor of a building in Aguadulce (Almería). Kestrels began nesting in buildings in Aguadulce in the late 1990s, and currently, more than 15 pairs are recorded.
Thanks to the camera we installed in the nest, we can closely observe how the tiny chicks start their life in the nest, protected and cared for by their dedicated parents. The male brings an impressive prey, a black rat, to feed his new family. The mother, with tenderness and precision, feeds the chicks, ensuring their growth and survival.
