The Weekly Flickr - Richard Heeks Richard’s love of capturing images of bubbles happened randomly in 2007, at a time when he was obsessed with taking photographs of eyes. blog.flickr.net...
This is a little 'hidden gem' on KZitem - your images are beautiful and have inspired me to try this myself. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together, you deserve a whole lot more 'Likes' for your effort...

Of course someone have had this idea before. I was the other day blowing soap bubbles and I noticed how cool the reflection was. I ran home to het my camera and I was really happy with the results after doing some edit on them. And i was thinking, why have nobody ever thought of this before... but now i see that i was not the first one... to my disappointment

👍 Thumbs up sir. I do kite aerial photography myself and want to send up a bubble machine and take close up video of the bubbles in motion. When you have time please view the Huntington Beach kite connection kite party report on HB TV and enjoy 😊

Awesome stuff Richard. Have you ever made a video of the bubbles? I am going to try but dont think I would get your amazing reflections.

Love your photos but would love a little more detail. E.g. what is the bubble mixture? do you use lighting effects or just the sun? More please...!

do you blow the bubbles and photograph them by yourself or do you have a helper? if by yourself, is there a specific kind of bubbles that keeps your hands from getting soapy as your moving from blowing the bubbles to taking photos of the bubbles? also, what times of days do you do it most often?

I mostly blow the bubbles myself as it takes quite a bit of practice to get the film thickness right. I tend to blow bubbles in one hand and hold the camera in the other. It's not easy but it's possible.

Your photos are amazing, thanks for sharing. What did you say was the name of the mixture with inks in it?
