Thanks for a good informational video. Just put my Ocelot Pro together. Charging the battery and taking it out for a ride in the morning . Mine came with the PAS 1 at 20 percent.

Excellent Information Bruce! Sadly there are still a lot of people who will get on it for the first time and takeoff not knowing they need to set the PAS settings. Yes it's true, 40% will jerk an knot in your neck LOL

Bruce Thank you very much for the words or wisdom and safety tips. I will certainly follow your settings when ready to ride. When I tried/tested the Cruiser Pro in AZ, I did notice the aggressive power setting even on PAS1 and that is something that I will adjust before my first ride. Thanks to your videos, I have "checklist" of things to consider or steps to follow when the Ocelot arrives and I am ready for assembly.

Great video emphasizing safety. Agree you have to adjust the settings as PAS 1 at 40% is insane even to experienced riders. Hopefully ordering the Cruiser Pro in a week and will use your % settings before riding. The Ocelot Pro would be perfect for my wife (and for me too). I'm working on convincing her😂

Thank you for giving us this channel. You really help me out a lot. I have one quick question though I bought a brand new, ocelot pro and was wondering about the brakes. Is it normal for the front brake lever travel to be a lot less than the rear brake travel? it seems like I got to press the rear brake harder than the front brake. I haven’t ridden it yet and surely I don’t have to bleed the brakes brand new right out of the box do I ? You got my subscription.
@RVEnthusiast

Your Welcome. Thanks for the comment and subscribing. There are a couple of ways to adjust the amount of travel when squeezing the brake lever. 1. There is a barral adjuster at the end of the lever. If its rotated out to far the lever will not squeeze together, rotate it all the way back in or until the levers have equal pull. 2. You can adjust the the travel by adjusting the brake on the inside of the caliper of the wheel. It takes a allen head driver and screw it conterclockwise about 1/2 a turn at a time until it matches the other brake. I find this way best and actually very easy. It seems llike its harder, but its very simple. Hope this helps and welcome!

Would lowering the amperage allow the throttle's ability to keep the bike at a slow pace? There are times when my leashed dog likes to meander. So 3 or 4 mph is a comfortable pace on my old 20" Lectric xp 2.0. Since we do about 5 miles every day, it's important that the pooch can slow trot when he wants. Is that beyond the Ocelot's throttle's ability if amps get lowered down to something like a 12? I'm ready to buy but need to know the cat can behave with my dog. I know it's not a torque sensor; I'm ok with that. I just don't want the throttle to bust us out of the gate like a young racehorse (to mix metaphors). Slow and steady would do. Thanks in advance.

I think it would. but why not use walk mode instead. Easy to use and a pace that is what you are thinking of. Also you can adjust the P settings to a percent you like, giving you the needed outut speed.

Why is there no water bottle holder on the ocelot? There seems to be room for it. It's making think of the big dog because there is one on it.

Bruce, I'm thinking of installing the Suntour SP12 NCX Suspension Seat Post (30.9mm x 350mm) for my yet-to-be-delivered Ocelot Pro. However, the OEM seat post is only 300mm. I'm concerned that the new seat post will bottom out and result in the seat height being a couple of inches higher than expected. I'm short (28-inch inseam), so a couple of inches would probably affect me. Could you do me a favor and measure the depth of the seat post hole and post that information? If you have the time, can you do the measurement in comparison to your wife's OEM seat post? (E.g., fully inserted seat post length @ 10.0 inches + 2.5 inches more before frame bottoms out = 12.5 inches total available length for a seat post.)
@RVEnthusiast
2 жыл бұрын
So the post for the Ocelot is 10" and the seat post hole is right at 13" deep. I have a full 12'(300mm) seat post from another bike and it does not bottom out at a full 12" hope thats enough info for ya. Let me know anything else and I can easily check it for you.
@1dash133

@@RVEnthusiast Bruce, that information is very reassuring. 13 inches will swallow up the Suntour seat post, so that's more than enough space. All I need to do is worry about stick up height for the mounting portion plus the saddle height ... and for that, I think I have a more than comfortable margin for error. I.e., I don't really need to worry about it fitting me. It'll work. Thank you for taking the time to do the measurements! Aloha and mahalo nui loa!

I find these batteries loose a ton in the first few minutes. Its not real, but battery slump. You can see this when you throttle only for a full ride and get 25-27 miles on it. The Ocelot Pro however has a battery setting to save the battery at like 14 or 15% this can be reset to 5% in the settings I believe.
