I own one of those but a 2022 model and they are super fun and pack quite a punch for the size. I think you'll love it. Wish mine had the backhoe though.

I had an older struck dozer and I replaced the belts twice along with all the bushings. These are definitely hobby level machines. The chains also are a weak link. I would still own one just for fun but it definitely has limits. I'm not sure about the bigger magnatrac with the v twins and hydraulic drive motors. Those might be worth having if you can find a used one at a reasonable price.

On those outriggers you should mount 12 volt motors on them with switches on the motors or on the control panel where the levers are.

On a machine that light even very weak hydraulics would pick that thing right up so those are not very strong hydraulics. Here's a tip if you want to move something or pry something loose, use the bucket only to pry it and loosen it with. Get the teeth of the bucket underneath what you want to pry up and then push down on the boom not pulling up, pushing down on the boom while you're curling the bucket gives you more leverage to pop things loose. 😀

As much of a neat little novelty as this thing looks like I have to agree, for almost 20 grand I’d be frustrated by its limitations. I’d rather buy a mediocre used piece of real equipment 🤷♂️

The manual outriggers seems like the biggest draw back. If you wanted to dig a trench or something where you move every few scoops it seems like that would get annoying really quick. Compared to a pick and shovel I guess it’s pretty good though lol

I’m not completely sure but in that situation it seems like you would just push yourself with the boom, that’s what I used to do with my kubota

@@Bunked There is a hydraulic option available. Not too expensive. I bought my RS1000 with the 12" shovel and have used it a bunch. having hydraulic stabilizers is very handy.

I agree with Torqued the manual outriggers kinda suck other than that good for farting around the house. One thing if you throttle back some it will stop a lot of the hurkey jerky when operating the backhoe. The hydraulic pump doesn't have to spin real fast to work more throttle just makes it move faster and thats were jerkin comes from. More throttle may give it a little bit more power but not much.

That's unfortunate that it has that awful two-lever steering like bobcat and Melrose used and some stand-up lawn mowers and other small stand up construction equipment uses two lever steering which is awful!!!!! They should all go to one lever steering so you have a free hand to work other controls on the machines!
