Dude you got my vote just for saying venomous instead of poisonous, great video. I may have missed it, but also you can look at the bottom few inches of scales, the venomous snakes have single scales, as nonvenomous has double scales... And we don't teach the suction kits, due to pulling more venom to the same place causing more damage, we teach to use blue dawn dish soap to immediately wash the area off to get as much venom off as possible.. Great video, keep them coming.

Thank you! Yeah, I hate when people say poisonous when referring to snakes. Thanks for the additional info about the scales, that’s great to know! I wasn’t totally sure about the extractors, it just seemed reasonable to me that suctioning out any amount of venom possibly could be beneficial, but I’m not sure. I remember when I was in Boy Scouts and those suction extractors first came out, their instructions actually told you to cut an “X” pattern over each hole before trying to suction. That’s Crazy! Even my teenage brain knew that was a very bad idea, and a great way to help the venom enter the bloodstream faster. Even though I still thought the suction idea sounded good, I remember urging my entire troop to never cut your skin at/near a snake bite. Why Dawn dish soap? Is it because of the way it attaches to grease? Does it act similarly with venom? You mentioned teaching, what kind of teaching (besides snake bites of course)? 😁 Thanks again!!!👍😁

@@splinter3469 wow, that’s awesome! I’m honored to have you as a subscriber, and that you find an interest to watch my videos. Thank you! I’m also honored that anyone would be compelled to subscribe to the channel and I greatly appreciate everyone who chooses to do so as well. I would really appreciate your continued input. I am admittedly a pretty average guy (husband, father, etc.) who loves the outdoors. I’m just learning and trying to figure things out. I’m naturally curious, and am always trying to learn new things about hunting, prepping, and really anything outdoors related. Most everything we have and will do on the channel is stuff I’d have done on my own with or without cameras. I decided to start the channel so me and my viewers could learn together, and maybe share a few laughs along the way too. I definitely never claim to be an expert on much of anything. But what I do promise, is that I will always do my best. I will always try to be honest, straight forward, and transparent with the subjects we cover and especially the products we test. Anyways… sorry, that was way too long-winded… Thanks again!👍😁
