Beautiful reasoning after the queen trade; I never would've even considered Bxd1 in response to the line mentioned (I saw Rd1 without thinking twice). Hikaru might show off the impressive calculating prowess of a GM, but Magnus' explanation is infinitely more educational to his audience. The daunting task of understanding the chessboard is made much simpler with the precise analysis and explanation by the world champion. Utter brilliance.

For me, true genius isn't just about solving complex problems, it's understanding those problems so deeply that you can explain them in simple terms, in a way that someone with little to no knowledge can understand. I can't think of many better examples of this than Magnus' commentary on his own games. It's absolutely extraordinary that we have access to this stuff so freely!
