Australian magpies are the best birds in the world, love them, their singing is lovely. I have couple of families that come daily for some food , have been feeding them for years. Very intelligent and highly entertaining.

The only bad but nice thing about them is how they swoop you to actually protect their young,not actually doing it like wild other animal.
@66halfmoon

@@RageBait2024 The swooping is done by the males, showing off off to the females.

This video is amazing. I've never seen a Magpie nest. I have a continual flow of Magpies come to my property to drink, bath & preen in my 8 bird baths. New baby magpies every few months. They really are such intelligent creatures. If you would like to see close up footage of magpies having a bath (its super cute) check out the videos on my channel BIRD BATH HOUSE. :)

yep, that's how many birds maintain a clean nest with many continually eating pooping babies. Adults take away a fecal sac produced by the baby birds or even eat it sometimes. Sounds gross but actually an efficient way of exceptionally conserving nutrients; in nature you need every bit of help to survive.

Look up Gymnorhina tibicen, it is called a magpie here in Australia, white crows are different. I have three nests out behind my house of Australian Magpies (these birds). No, I do not get swooped as the birds know I mean no harm to there nests (they eat they insects from my garden).
