This review is MISLEADING regarding the petrol engine. It is deceptive for the manufacturer to offer two petrol engines, with the majority of people purchasing one, but reviewers focusing on the engine available only in luxury models. The direct injection engine is not available in any of the affordable variants. Therefore, the review should cover the regular petrol engine.

Every time when a new car is realised in mahindra it's always a driver focused car..... Love to live with mahindra...
Interiors are a definite step up, and honestly, I liked the previous exterior styling. This connected type tail light section drops the distinctive look of all cars. A definite step up as a product though, if only the exterior was more eye candy, but maybe, it looks better in real life. Tough competition for Nexon now

Honestly initial pics of this car made me go "wtf just happened" as well. But after watching few videos and on-road clips in traffic I don't find that bad...love the rear though. Plus I like the fact that this car doesn't come with any low-powered naturally aspirated engine at all and the petrol AT is proper torque control unit

Just saw it yesterday and took a test drive too. The diesel engine is powerful and the gear shift in manual are very smooth. However the AMT in diesel is not upto the marke. The biggest let down in the car is the booth space and leg space in the rear seat. I wouldnt like to give an extra 3 lakhs for this car compared to the old one, especially for a panoramic sunroof and ADAS feature.

You have clearly pushed the driver seat to front to show there is ample leg room. Compare one frame before you sat in the rear, seats were at a different position. :)

Overall look is better than the XUV 300. Feature distribution across varient is not good. AX5 is not having TGDi engine Remote lock, wheel cover, driver seat height adjustment, Washer-wiper MX1 model doesn't have them, Diesel price diff with Petrol model is 1.39 lacs All MX vaients are having very low end music system and not having Driver Seat Height adjustment - as per Mahindra - it is premium feature!!

Most segment first features will probably get removed by the next year. Features will be cut & prices will be increased. Lower variants will never show up at the showroom till the next yr and only top variants will be delivered. It's classic Mahindra strategy. That's precisely the reason i didn't buy the xuv 300 coz they removed the 17 inch wheels which were my favourite 😢.

I don’t know why people would not like the front end? It looks extremely dynamic! Rear end too is superb. The only reason that could hold it back could be limited boot space! Otherwise it has good looks, classy interiors, great engines, perfect ride and handling package, big space inside cabin, impressive list of features. What more could one ask for? And it’s well priced too!

Even very successful designs by mahindra like scorpio and xuv etc are not really beautiful by the law but mahindra designs are always like this some worked some other failed. I personally think in daylight and real world conditions it looks good and it will start to grow by the time.

While at it, please whack the designer for writing the extinction chapter of XUV300 series. XUV700 he had only the logo designed from him and post that it is steady downhill, look at that copper garnish in xuv400 and now this. xuv400 is a neat vehicle if the copper garnish is removed. See what happened to Nexon after he left Tata, the design language this person uses is definitely controversial. It makes one cry. Atleast I am happy that I don't want any Mahindra vehicle right now.

design is so flawed that DRL alone can't fix it. ugly lines and bulges and creases without any coherence. Not to mention the weird front with geometric lines that have no begininng and end. Only relief is in the rear and interiors. Otherwise the front looks very agricultural.

I liked the old XUV 3OO's front styling. It looked like a proper SUV. All they needed to do is fix the rear and probably tweak the front a bit. Instead... They go ahead and destroy the front end by scooping the light inwards and making it vertical. Then they add a led strip to the rear... makes it look very ordinary. 👎👎

Thats an excellent design. Previous gen xuv 300 looked disproportionate with large frontal and suddenly cut back. If u observe, the head lights are pushed back to give a feeling of proper proportion from side angles.

What I really liked in this worst designed car is the engine combinations, Mahindra has offered...it is so satisfying that Mahindra is giving u total value for money prepositions..as the competition which is offering 1.2L engines with 82 bhp & Mahindra is giving u 130 BHP & 117 BHP powers in a budget SUV..now that's crazy!!!

I do no understand what is the obsession of sunroofs with Indians.? Could have had reach for the steering wheel, ventilated seats. and the sunroof kind of obstructs your head while moving forward and backward, the most useless feature in any car I would say. Auto Dimming mirror with a button . really with 15 + lacs. The good thing is the TC . which is better when compared with CVT/IVT and AMT. the only drawback with TC is the fuel economy. would keep an eye on that. overall better than competitors and ac for the back row seats. finally!!

All company should have given option to customer whether they need panaromic sunroof or not. They should give ventilated seat instead of sunroof. Due to some customer over rating in sunroof as luxury one all company made this option of sunroof and which backfire for customer later in periods.

For people criticizing the XUV 3XO, please note that the car has mostly leather finishes and less plasticky interior compared to other rivals. The Level 2 ADAS is a really good addition as it helps provide additional safety features that are crucial to preventing unnecessary accidents. The design may not be appealing to most, but this design certainly beats the likes of Hycross. The price is proper for all the features offered. The sunroof is not for the summer. Also, the limited boot space is fine if you are mostly going to use the car in the city.

Such an absolute delight to call this car as "ugliest lot of chopped bum of a car". Such high boot lip. Front looks like a last minute rush to make it different, and it did turn out to be looking like an over grown piglet (not the pink piglet but the dark grey ones that we get in gutters). This does remind of XUV700, which again is a very ugly car. Don't be fooled by the fancy name of this car. From inside it is a mini SUV and features are thrown in just to give a feel good factor. Sun roofs are so over rated. In countries like India, where we get ample of sunlight, this actually hinders the quick cooling. So while it is good to have, one cannot brag about it. Steering with no telescopic adjustment means no reach for shorter riders or for long drives. This shld have been the priority and not the automatic wipers / lights etc. Head room is compromised for sunroof... seriously?? Third passenger on the rear seat is avoidable for long distance. Power is just enough, not zippy enough, unless always in sport mode. Glossy front grill will soon turn into a scratch magnet and will spoil the already ugly look. Engine noise is well heard, so lot of road noise and engine noise to hit you. Anyways, this car doesn't bring any excitement to the already exploding world of mini SUV. I would pass. Some may still buy it, but regret very soon thereafter.

I would've swapped the panaromic sunroof with ventilated seats, wireless apple carplay and dead pedal any day.. Why are manufacturers skipping key comfort and useful features for show and gimmicky ones? Is that really what consumer wants? Although I'm happy to see auto dimming IRVM which makes this the only mahindra car to offer one. Let's see if mahindra is able to deliver the cars on time and how much will it increase the price over a year😂

294 L Boot is still way unser par for me. As if eyewashing the public, 364 L bootspace is claimed upto roof top. Who does this, only Mahindra, trying to push figures upward? The diesel engine is not peppy in real world and cannot overtake the Seltos diesel despite it having slightly lower figures.

Redemption chance wasted. XUV 300 had a chance to comeback with new exterior, interior and boot space. But oh boy did they make it count? My opinion no. The improvement in boot space is still not significant, rear design ends abruptly so again no effort to fix that too. Instead they come up with a polarising design with sky roof for Indian customer. Interior also has been borrowed from XUV 700 and they want to be the leader in the c space segment 😮

the rear end looks no new. Tail lamps looks like taken from kiger and the horizontal trip is just a copy cat trend for every company now. The lower portion of the back looks like copied from the new sonet. And finally the front end, God! I feel the old one is much much better

Attention car designers. We need medium coloured interiors like tan or ash grey, No sunroof of any kind, Isofix anchor points for rear seats, Matt finish plastics inside the cabin. Non reflective panels behind the steering wheel, And finally, Tinted glass, atleast as an option on all variants.

Doesn't look good with all that plastic at bottom... cost save karne ke chakkar mein kachra kar dete hain .... BYD xiaomi cars ko dekh lo toh european brands pheeke lagte hain

Mahindra cars are not comfortable at all!! The back seats make you more uncomfortable during long journeys..

I dont understand why the sunroof is a selling point in India??? Considering the temperture is reaching 40 degree celcius .. Non one has the courage to open the sunroof:::

Like the guy said too jhatak for me. Also looks a lot like it was rushed into the production without attaining a mature design. TBF the design looks like a 3D render to me.

As with many of their designs this also looks overdone!!!! Also the facelift fails to gel with the now dated sides But it is feature rich and the interior feels rich….👏

Why is the interior white? Preferably, all interiors are dark. Also, I did not like the headlight cluster.

2600 mm wheelbase is making the car looks awkward at the rear end. 2500mm would have been appropriate.
