The maidenhair fern needs to be moist almost constantly. I have mine in a self watering pot above a reservoir of water and it’s flourishing. Before I put it in a self watering system I was watering lightly almost daily

I hope it does not happen again but if it does, burn back all the old stems back to the base. It will flourish

@@EasyPeasyGardening No it won't. Think of what happens when there is a fire. The ground rejuvenates and new growth comes very quickly. I read the tip in one of my garden groups and really had nothing to lose as my plant was dying. I burnt it back to the roots and it is doing very very well today

General purpose fertilizer, meaning npk 10-10-10
