Hello Ricki. I was wondering, is that a Craftsman floor jack you used to lift the front center of your Camry? I’m asking because I think I have the same floor jack, and I thought it was too tall for me to slide it under the front of my Camry, but it looks like you were able to reach that front center jack point while the car was still on the ground. Can you please confirm what type of floor jack you used and if you were in fact able to slide it under the front center and reach the jack point while the car was still on the ground?

If you read the manual, tire rotation is just a simple front to back (driver front to driver rear, passenger front to passenger rear) that’s it. And why write down the mileage when the car automatically lets you know it’s time to change the oil every 5000 miles?

Do your own oil changes, tire rotations, carbon, and cabin air filters they’re so fucking easy. You’ll save a lot of money I personally don’t trust shops they make money on repairs and a lot of shops will purposefully fuck your car up if you do it yourself you are 100% sure you did it right and everything is secure. Last thing you want is your oil to leak when you’re driving or your tires were to fall off on the highway. Just my 2 cents my dad taught me everything ever since he got fucked over by dealerships and spent thousands he does everything by himself now. Had his same tundra and a sienna for over 17 years not one of the cars has broken down.

I think everybody knows how to change a car oil da!! But I bet majority of people checking out oil change videos only to find the exact front and side jacking points but unfortunately, none of the video makers care about showing this important part of the process (or maybe they don't know it well and don't wanna get sued!). I have used pinch welds points on my older Camry but wasn't sure about this one and don't want to damage a newly purchased car!
@afara2000

I did the oil change and noticed that jack points are very similar to older Camry models (I have 07-01 too). You can use pinch welds to raise and rest them on jack stands. I use floor jack in front middle to keep some of the weight for added safety. Also, I think socket size for oil pan is 14 mm if I am not mistaken.

I recommend you change the oil for 10w-30 full synthetic if you plan on having it for a long time. The uk owners manual isn't constrained by environmental regulations like here in the US and the 2018+ Camry, corolla, and Prius can run 16, 20, 30 in normal conditions and 40 weight oil if driven in high speeds. My friend is a toyota technician and he's seen engines ran on 16 weight begin to burn oil at 70k and he said it's terrible. He runs 15w-40 in his 4 cyl 2016 Tacoma which says it all. He says any toyota should run at least 10w-30. The 2021 yaris comes with 0w-8 actually but can run 16, 20, 30 weight in the manual and 40 weight in an instance but to change by the next interval to 30 weight or below. The mpg loss is almost non existent so I'd really recommend it for maximum lifespan.
