It's FPV Friday (DJI Avata 2). I think there is a major issue with the Goggles 3. Be interesting to know your thoughts on Goggles 3 - enjoy the video

The double tap is best described as "Pass Through View" and Quest VR goggles have had that option for a long time. The DJI Goggle 3 have a fan that can be engaged. I don't like that rubber faceplate because it sticks to you face and thanks for that faceplate review.

Good day Shaun sitting here in the U.K. looking in envy at your 32 degrees of heat, as usual wet and wind here (bummer). I use the goggles 2 that has the same problem in my opinion the internal fan isn’t powerful enough to dry or prevent sweat forming around the eyes. The best goggles I’ve used are the Fatshark goggles that has a much more powerful internal fan that could and have been used for hours in all weather conditions with no issues. Maybe DJI will give an update to improve the fan speed one day! Enjoy your dry sunny conditions, and looking forward to your next videos.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I agree to this, but as a Valve Index owner, I can confirm that velours pads have the disadvantage that the sucked up sweat definitely stais in there, drys there and develops entirely never seen before types of new bacteria.

hi shaun i noticed you have some older dji drones, phantom models. here is a little gem of story for you, true story. 10 years ago, i lost my phantom 2 in a lake in New York State. last week some divers found the drone in 16 feet of water and the images on the card were intact. good thing it was fresh water.

Many thanks for your comment and great news about your Phantom 2 and the images were still okay. I had the Phantom 2 Vision + and it crashed into a fresh water lake, sunk to the bottom, pulled out, dried for a week in rice and still flies now. Today's video is about my Phantom, will it still fly. Many thanks for watching.

I wouldn’t suggest sitting directly in the sun in temps that the manufacturer says not to operate the drone in first of all…and “I think the word is Velcro”😂😂 but, had he read the manual he would have known that there’s a fan you can turn on in the goggles 😂😂

Simple tips: - stay in the shade - be careful with the lens facing the sun as you might get burnt spots on the displays - the lens protector I think it should be facing the other side with the dips towards the lenses Btw, did you notice any dead pixels on the oled screens?

@@shaunthedrone I sold my V2 goggles about a month ago in pristine condition (had them for about 2y and used extensively)... no dead pixels, no scratches. Bought a pair of G2, had a stuttering issue while using with the vistas and 7 dead pixels... sent to dji for replacement, new pair arrived, no more stuttering... 5 dead pixels... I will stick to those since the dead pixels are not noticeable during flight. Glad to hear you have a pair with no issues. Could you do a video with range & penetration for the G3 and Avata 2? There's definitely too much rubber, and it creates a sweaty mess. Goggles defog can fall behind quickly if youre not cool and dry. If its really hot I ascend my Avata 2 to around 7 or 8 feet, stop it, and stand under the draft while putting on the goggles. This isn't really possible once I move up to a drone without position hold. I will definitely be adding a foam supplement before I move up to a true FPV drone.

Hi m8 I asked the same somewhere , I can confirm after receiving the Goggles 3 you get the same view for each eye , I cant see out the right eye apart from a pinhole of light , you get 2 sets of diopters to choose from for viewing and adjustment levers for focusing best you can . I think I will be ok flying with these like you I was worried each lense would have a different view.

No offense, but sometimes it just seems like you guys are furiously digging for something to complain about. Problem Miner Syndrome. I'd be interested if other brands of goggles or VR headsets would fair any better in those conditions. It was pushing around 100 degrees with high humidity around here, and I didn't have any issues... of course, I didn't sit directly in the hot sun. Heck, I often fly mine sitting in my car with the AC running. Hahaha! I think all companies attempt to strike a middle ground when they design products. This would be like someone who lives in Antarctica complaining that the Goggles 3 don't operate perfectly in the extreme cold without modifications. I don't like it when my friends are accused of dishonestly reviewing products just because they don't deal with the same issues you might.

Good point and yes always looking for improvements with products and DJI are always trying to better each drone they bring out. My point is most KZitem gods come from colder climates and have no issues, like over heating, closing down (dji action cameras) and thankfully DJI do read these posts. The last set of goggles from DJI was fabric and then change to rubber! Something about trying to stop the light. I love DJI products and started from the beginning - watch my new video today. Many thanks for your comment and thanks for watching the video.
