Hey everyone! I forgot to add up the total battery life including the extra 3 charges from the case. So here they are and this was also tested with ‘High End Sound Tuning’ on which is supposed to consume more battery as well. ANC ON = 18h 48m ANC OFF = 23h 48m

Bro im comuting 2 hours a day so its part of my life. I bought these its exactly as what you said, wide as fuck. Its close to my kz zs10 pros but kz has terrible passive isolation anyway. I have a big problem. My huge old commute services (passing close to my house) engine humming is mostly taffing around 100hz and this thing has nothing below 100hz on its ANC. its creating a contrast between above 100 and below, it sounds like its amplifing that lower bass from engine and its driving me crazy. but i see from soundguys anc test that that buds pro has a solid blockage right there, may be sacrificing some soundstage and mid blackage is way to go for me ? or may be around 700mt far i have another commute vehicle which is a modern fiat ducato may be i need to walk and cinvince myself for burning calories getting healtier etc . i dont know what to do. i have xm4s too but theyre fucking my hair shape and its summer coming. btw im using xm4s with more v shaped version of this: github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/blob/master/results/oratory1990/harman_over-ear_2018/Sony%20WH-1000XM4/Sony%20WH-1000XM4%20GraphicEQ.txt on my laptop in eq APO i add this after, i add a 15 band eq and add a little deep and mid bass and little bit treble . after this i have a eq shape below. i replicate that eq shape with moving mouse cursor on it with values on iphone. im doing it with SPOTEQ and its becoming far far wider . its that bleeding from upper bass to mids narrowing xm4 this mothed makes it a sennheiser. just want to share.

Interested in these or Bose quest comfort. I got the Sony wf1000xm4 that everyone raves about but after several months of use they are just not confortable in my ears. In order for them to work you need to really really twist it inside your ear canal so deep it hurts. Maybe it is my ear. Looking for more comfortable fitting ones, perhaps the ones that don’t need to go into my ear canal. All I care about is sound quality and comfort. Don’t care about ANC or call quality etc. just quality full sound and comfort for my ears. Is Sennheiser my best bet or these also need to be twisted deep into your ears to get full sound ?

Right when I was about to put them back in the box and return them I figured I'd try factory reseting them and not installing all the updates, and after I did so literally every single problem vanished. I have a the Sennheiser necklace style Momentun HD which I use with my laptop and I'm always knocked back by the sound quality even for 3 year old Bluetooth headphones. I just tried the Galaxy Buds 2, the Lives and Buds Plus. None really compare to the XM3. But I like the Lives in that they sit on the outside of your ear. so I will probably keep those as my back up. I REALLY liked your review man....BUT, let's talk about your music categories. Where's your early house music, garage, electro/techno bass, acid house, disco, funk, soul, boogie, rare groove, dub/reggae, world music, afro-cuban/latin, synth/new wave, industrial, EBM, minimal, ambient ? Not here to criticize, only here to nudge....; ). That said, the direction you went with your categorical references is unique to any other review I've seen, so I think amongst serious music heads.....you could broaden that gap with an additional focus on more demographics. I like that angle and could warrant even separate vids/titles "best earbuds for {insert genre}.....". Keep it up....great job. Wish you well...cheers.

Dude you finally got some! I was interested hearing your opinion vs the H1, I do wish there was lower bass the M2's. The high end tuning seems to make the soundstage narrower, I've gone back and forth between the 2 and I feel this setting off sounds a bit more natural. Id recommend you buying some KZ Zs10 IEM's, there not bluetooth although you can get a bluetooth band for them. If you think the treble is good on the sennies, the KZ's are amazing! Also the momentum 3 overheads are pretty tasty bass head certified 100 percent djent approved too. My fave headphone is Hifiman Sundara, they have changed my understanding of what imaging, speed, punch and soundstage mean.

It seems like these are the peak for sound quality on wireless earbuds, at least for now. But let me ask this: what exactly is the "peak" of sound quality on a wireless earbud compared with a wired one? Let's just take an example: ONE MORE Quad Driver IEM's, which you can get for about $100. Those sound really good. Can the Senn's compete with those on SQ? With an IOS based bluetooth connection, you'll be connected via AAC, which is certainly not lossless. But a wired setup will give you exactly what is on the audio output of your device. So for someone who values audio quality like myself, will any wireless earbud satisfy me?
@pickyaudio
3 жыл бұрын
Yea when it comes to wired IEM’s you can spend like 50-60 and if they’re a decent pair (like my kzs10 pro for example). They’ll outperform and TWS earbud since the only focus is the drivers where TWS requires so much extra tech
@johnstone7697
3 жыл бұрын
@@pickyaudio Thanks. I don't really need all that tech, but can see that Apple has piled so much into theirs that everyone else has to follow suit with features. I just wish someone would make a low featured wireless set with superb sound quality equal to a wired pair. That's something I'd be interested in.
@pickyaudio
3 жыл бұрын
It’s getting pretty close but the main issue being you can only fit so many drivers into the bud. There are those Bluetooth adapters you can plug into your IEM’s. Still new tech but it’s getting better

I had Sennheiser MTW2, Sony WF-1000XM3 and Airpods Pro and ended up with Airpods... Sennheiser were too quiet (not all the time but quiter track and sometimes even 100% of volume not enough, especially with movies...), Sony was really good but case is soo big that it's already not that kind of package 'just put to jeans and go'... Airpods have for sure worst sound but they are not problematic, very loud and really small... I use them with iPhone and laptop with Windows 10 and both great... I wish sound would be better... I love all of those 3 but Airpods were basically closest to smooth daily experience... And I'm audiophile but good wired headphones with dac for home and wireless compromise for touside...

They were £199 on the Sennheiser website originally and have heard they sound pretty much identical (just a casing difference).

Ok now at firmware version 2.13.0. Option not there but happily they still sound as amazing! Was listening to Everybody (Elliphant) during the update and the bass seemed even more bodacious after..but not sure, maybe I just pumped up the volume and got into the track more :-)

You got a new subscriber finally an Aussie who does the reviews I'm in a bit of a pickle I have the sony wf-1000xm3 and I hate the design but the xm4 is around the corner literally and the momentum 2 are currently $320, I find the sony not loud enough on single ear use and the 3 point contact design kinda hurts should I get the momentum true for $320 mostly for metal rock deathcore and what not a bit of symphonic as well or chance it with the xm4 which could launch above my price range and the biggest issue they could suck

@pickyaudio

I’m using the included silicone ear tips. I don’t have the X3 so can’t say for sure. I can say that 100% volume on default Spotify setting they sound amazing and are loud enough for me. There are louder buds out there but if you like listening at max volume these sound the best out of any earbud I’ve ever tested

I hear that the 400 bt version are the same in sound quality, and are also smaller than both the wireless 1 and 2 version which you are doing so well to review. Can you confirm? Hey Man, Super class video and very good, detailed information. I am looking for a pair to TWS, so are still worth buying in Dec 2021. 😁 I am unable to decide between these and Lypertek Z7s. Would like to know your view. I am more inclined towards sound quality than features. So, Z7s 2+1 drivers are making me very excited but these are highly praised for their sound quality hence the confusion. Thanks!

Brother amazing review. I was wondering if the Sony XM3s sound better with LDAC or LDAC manually set to 990Kbps since it is such a huge bitrate codec. You have to set your phone into developer mode to enable this. I am stuck trying to decide between these two
