You probably made money off of me. I made call credit spreads that day and lost money. 😂 Had a nice win streak for the past two weeks though.

Ive start credit spread trading for the last two weeks to accommodate the fact that I too have other significant responsibilities throughout the day. Tho I didn’t trade everyday over the last two weeks, Im 6 of 7 (1 loss) in my trades. I had a stop loss in place on that loss, so I contained it very well. I trade SPX and basically trade contracts that are 0DTE. In short, I hold nothing overnight. Anyway, I have two simple questions: What moving averages are you using in this video. And, I see that youre use a RSI indicator. Do you find that using RSI is better than using a Stochastic indicator? Again, thx for your vids.

That's awesome. Wishing you all the best with your trades. I use the 20, 50, and 200 MAs. Recently, I've been using them mainly as a way to stop out a winning trade. (ie: I'm up on this trade, and I use the 50MA as my trailing stop loss) I have RSI pulled up, mainly for reference but I don't really use it nowadays. From market structure, it's pretty obvious to tell when something is running hot or cool without having to rely on a lagging indicator. For better or worse, I'm a price action guy... I use that to tell me how market momentum is going, if it's continuing vs if it's shifting/changing.

Thx for your reply. May I ask one more question: how do you use the ATR indicator?
@CreditSpreadInvesting

@jkameroncarter1254 mainly to set my stop loss. Usually 1 ATR above or below my level of support/resistance

@@CreditSpreadInvesting Thx very much. This is very helpful. I've been experimenting and tryna refine setting the SL on my Iron Condor trades. Again, this is really helpful. A humble suggestion for a future video idea: May I propose that you consider doing a video on how you set a Stop Loss as a part of risk management on Iron Condor trades. I know that I'd greatly benefit from it and perhaps others will too. Thx for what ur doing on your channel. This is one of the best no-BS, no-hype channels out there!

So to chart, you are looking at a weekly timeframe?
@CreditSpreadInvesting
Ай бұрын
i look at a higher timeframe to identify trends, so weekly, daily, and then i drop it down to a lower timeframe to find my entries. usually 30 mins and 5 mins

Why don't u put longer period like 21 days or 30 days, and further OTM to have the same premium but lesser risk? Is it because of the market now, not sure its bearish or bullish? What about sell call spread, is it good strategy to use? I just started watching your videos, they are great and useful. Which of your videos do u recommend to watch for those just starting out options trading?

Ah it’s not that I don’t. I actually sell predominantly 30-45 DTEs… and I’ve made a lot of videos about this… just not recently. It depends on the time frame of the trends like for example right now, I’m actually in some SPX bullish spreads on the 30-45 DTEs because of how the daily trends look like. I wouldn’t trade 30-45 days out based off of a 30 minute trend analysis. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thank you, I think I can understand. Can u do a video to share with us how to see the trend and whether to sell short DTE or long DTE? Thank you
@CreditSpreadInvesting

The trend really depends on what time frame you’re on… so if you’ve seen my 0 and 1 DTE videos, I’m usually on the 5 min and 30 min to see the short term trend. For the 30-45 DTEs, from my videos you can see I’m looking mainly at the daily time frame. Why is that? It’s cause I’m taking advantage of different trends. When I’m trading a short option, there’s not enough time for a daily trend to play out and when I’m trading longer timed spreads, there’s too much time that the short term trends probably won’t matter. Hopefully that makes sense. I can def make a video on this if that’ll make things more clear!
