Hi Pam! I've been stamping for over twenty years. A little tip about your stamps so that you don't stamp the edges of the stamp is to peel the stamp off the wood block and kinda fussy cut around the rubber and then use the glue to glue it back on the wood. I hope this helps. 💕

Yes I suspect ‘wold’ has several origins. Here in England we have many wolds, usually meaning a higher stretch of open land. Some place names end in ‘wold’ as in Southwold a well known place along the Suffolk coast.

Just watched this video for the first time - going through the series - and that poem is so sad! I read it while you were off looking for the q-tips and it had me like 🥺💔 Love your videos so much. My mom and I watch them, then talk about them over the phone. We live several states apart, and crafting is a nice thing to connect over. Thank you for being real - it’s a joy to watch you create. ♥️

I believe Wold means a piece of land or a moor. There is a place called Stow-on-the-Wold here in the England in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. The Cotswolds are a set of rolling hills and countryside, very pretty. I dare say the word Wold probably originates from here.

As I was crafting along this morning I had this epiphany and I had to share…. I was working with a larger book cover and I enlarged the spine. I decided to make smaller signatures as the art of the book was ah-mazing. I decided to make a hidden spine and I was inspired by the podcasts about the adventures with your sewing machine…. I set the stitch almost as long as possible and took out the thread. The needle punched right through the chipboard I was using to bind them together. Had often wondered how to do more than 5 signatures because the holes seemed to close. Worked like a charm! Had to say thanks for sharing your ideas and experiences. Love your channel. Hugs to Sunshine 🌞

I have so many old book pages that rip and scrunch on me when I use my straight cutter. I've also taken to folding/tearing or just ripping the edges loosely. Or using my sharp shape cutters on it. And now I have all these fun, scrunched up bunches of paper. 🤣

Lately my JJ covers have not been holding paper to the chipboard. I always use one of the three "go to glues" Pam uses (fabri tac, scott craft glue stick, and art glitter glue) I have never had this happen in over 2 years. Thought someone may have suggestions as to why I am experiencing faulty adherence syndrome lately. All glues were shipped to me in October. They worked well until last month, and are stored in 68° F cupboard. Thanks for any suggestions.
@ThePaperOutpost
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan, Some tips from the trenches :) My best guess might be...make sure the 2 adhering surfaces are rough, the rougher the better the bond :) Sand them before gluing if needed :) Also, confirm enough pressure is applied when gluing them together, push between the signatures and let the book sit overnight to fully dry before advancing to decorating pages. Assess whether the weight on the decorated pages may just be too much for the adherence.. And as you mentioned it could be an unstable glue problem due to quality or temperature. Hope these tips help :) Sincerely, Pam :)
