Yes! I’m so glad this tulle was 108” wide so I didn’t have to unfold it. But even when it’s not wide enough I use a straight Stitch to combine all my layers then use the ruffle foot to gather everything at once.

Happy Mother's Day (To anyone who wants such wishes) 💗🌞🌟🌻 It looks lovely! A wonderful hostess dress in any color!😀 I think the floaty etherial floral elements would look delightful at a wedding or any reception. If I wore that style, I would try it. Though I have never really sewn that much, as far as constructing clothing, I have done a lot of hand embroidery decorative stitching, and have worked with tulle, so I am very familiar with french knots, and the instability of tulle, so I fully appreciate, and applaud your work, with your flowers! Though it isn't technically difficult, in concept, to learn, it can, potentially, strain your patience, because it can be, what I would describe as a bit "fiddly," because of the open nature of tulle, but, as you said, once you see how easy it is to actually make a french knot, no one need be intimidated by them. As usual, you did such a beautiful job, both constructing and teaching! I just adore these uber feminine looks, of bygone eras, and the way that you are wearing them, now, with your own lovely, personal touches! Happy Mother's Day, God's blessings, and much love to you all! 🌹🌻💮🏵💐🌸🌺🌼🌷

If securing the flowers through multiple layers of tulle, it would have to be stabilized, in some manner, so a hoop would definitely be of great help! I really do not see how it would have really done much, though, just going through a single layer, as she did, and would have, needlessly, taken up more time, in my own, humble opinion. Of course, every seamster, or seamstress, must do what works best, for themselves, no matter what! 😉

When I saw the original video, it looked and sounded for all the world as if you were saying you had embroidered flowers onto the skirt. How charming that it turns out you simply stitched existing flowers on with a little knot and the effect from a distance is as if you had done something much more elaborate. Love how clever you are that way!

Beautiful creation. At first I couldn’t figure out what the tulle over skirt was about but after seeing it assembled it just made the dress. Actually it could be worn with or without the tulle . I guess it depends on the occasion. If I was wearing it to a wedding I would tone it down a bit. Different color, no tulle. After all it’s an unwritten courtesy that you don’t outshine the bride and you would be swamped with people gathering around wanting to know where you got such a fabulous creation, who’s the designer, etc. Definitely breaking that rule. And if you added a delightful hair embellishment it would be all over. People would think you were the bride. THE perfect dress for an outdoor wedding, no question. Pale blue, pastel yellow, whatever your favorite color! I’m in love that’s for sure!
