I had to laugh when you were trying to apply the label to the cable. I had the same lining up problem. LOL

I got tired of lining it up and messing it yp. Started just scotch taping my flags without peeling the labels.

You repeated "things would go better with 'cable wire or flexible wire'", I assume you were referring to the P-Touch 'Cable - stretch tape' ? Nice feature for that printer - my old PT-65 doesn't do that. I was thinking if the stretch tape holds well on e.g. a coax cable, I would run it lengthwise of the wire and wrap it ( using a small font ). If you get some of the correct tape, try that and see if it holds. I plan to to try it.

Is there a manual way to make cable labels with less wasted length? E.g. typing out the letters with some spaces between both leaves of the flag?

Do Brother have labels that are not transparent like the ones used in this video? Thanks!
@kane2742

Yes. I usually use the "plain" ones with black text on a white background, but many other color combinations are available, like the cartridge of black-on-yellow label tape seen in this video at 5:18. (The text can be different colors, too, like gold text on a red background.) There are even some with decorative patterns in multiple colors, like black text on a pattern of pink roses with green leaves on a white background. You can see the options on Brother's site.

I’m using a PTH111 to print cable flags. My labels come out with the extra tape on the left side so I end up having to cut the left side with a scissor so they fold evenly on the middle line. What am I doing wrong?
@labelmaker
Жыл бұрын
Flags are meant to fold over so there would be extra tape that will stick to the other side of the label when folded. I think it depends on the size of the cable you wrapping?
@Mnevins

@@labelmaker I mean the extra tape makes the flag label uneven. There is an extra inch on the left side. It must be cut with a scissor for the label to be symmetrical.

According to Brother, this is expected and trimming off the extra with a scissor is necessary. Seems like a design flaw that makes using pouch less efficient for labeling a large number of cables.

hello, I would like to use TZe ribbons to make labels for climbing gear in my climbing club. This means it would be applieds on curved, metal surfaces and subject to rock stripes, for exemple : on ice-axe handle or on a carabiner. Would you recommend this type of labels? specially regarding the rock stripe abrasion.

I'm confident the label would holdup assuming it was applied to a smooth dry surface - however, if it were coming in hard contact with rock it would take a toll over time.

@@labelmaker I'm having trouble figuring out how to make 2 line cable labels. When I hit the enter key to go to next line, it asks to print. What button do I use to type second line in cable mode. Was easy on my old PT-H100. Thanks for any help
