This is fantastic! You really should use a lint roller on the t shirt after you put the cardboard inside. With the black paint added it looks like stained glass. The cells you got on the bag are amazing. We all learn by exploring different options. 😊 Now we all know to spray evenly on shirts. 👕

OK, now you’ve done it! Don’t you know that I am one of those people that when I see something new that I like, I just “have to have it“!??! So no matter how many shelves of paint that I have, I’ll go to the store and say “O0H, look at this one I’ve got I have more! And “soooo what if I have $10,000 worth of extras?! I need a few more“. I may never use all these in a lifetime, but I can tell myself I will. So now I have to have these holographic foils. My husband is not too impressed with you for showing me less, LOL… But I think you

Even though it didn’t turn out quite as well as you’d hoped, it’s still a beautiful shirt! Foil makes everything pretty. You can also get HTV adhesive from Siser that you can cut similar to the stencil, so that you can apply foil to clothing.

The foils on the t-shirt are awesome. I think that the big centers of those flowers are THE perfect place for your foil scraps. Looking forward to the bag update. Will you go with a foil iron-on? I was going to suggest an inkjet printer iron on, but I think you want something more opaque over the paint. I've never experimented with either. Thank you for another fun class! Much love.

Like the foil idea. The shirt painting... aaah. Not so much. (Using my best NYC/Bronx accent while waving my hand in an over and under gesture) Think the extra Floetrol made the paints mix too much. Looked like the paint got "muddy", or mixed too much. But what do I know! This is pure unadulterated unsolicited opinion 😂 I liked the bolder colors on the bag at first. Is it possible that the holes or cutouts on the wedge caught the paints and mixed them? Perhaps if the spaces went higher up so it didn't catch and slide all the paint? Maybe use something like an old big comb with long teeth? Sorry, ADD kicking in 🤪 And I would have kept playing with the shirt 😄 Some of my best work happened after I thought I messed something up ☺ Just thinking out loud. Only good vibes ~

❤ the idea of these projects. I do have a question about the textile medium, does it prevent the hardening effects? Such as, all of my paint shirts that end up stiff and will actually crack and are very uncomfortable. With the textile medium keep the fabric soft and comfortable with no cracking and uncomfortable stiffness after washing and drying? Sorry so long, but I gotta know 😂 thanks for the video and the new ideas.

I created my own logo on stickers I bought on Amazon which I didn't get exactly how I wanted because it gives you one choice of style for the text and one choice of color and I really would have liked a bolder logo with outlined lettering and to be able to overlap the letters as I do when I sign my work but I do have an idea of painting my own logo and taking photos of it and turning that into stickers with contact information to be able to hand out at craft fairs and along with at the pharmacy I sell out of I just thought it was a cool idea to be able to use my art to create stickers at first then it turned into a great way to advertise as well

Thank you for sharing this with us, Tammy! I❣ 've had trouble with foils having brush strokes in them from brushing the adhesive onto a canvas. I was so disappointed. Do you know of a way to smoothly apply the adhesive so it will transfer the pretty foil in it's entirety?

Please answer this question, I'm wondering how you keep the paint from cracking with so much paint on the canvas, I've asked a number of artist and got no response please be the one that finally answers this question, thank you so very much!
@tammyandersonart
Жыл бұрын
The key is to make sure that you tilt enough paint off of the canvas. When it's all said and done you want there to be a layer of paint on the canvas that is about 2 cm deep which is not deep at all. Notice on this canvas bag I did how I used the spreader and spread it around till it was just a thin coat all over. It's the same with the canvas. Hope this helps. Also cracking can happen when your paints are not all the same consistency because they dry at different rates of time A thinner color will dry faster than a thicker color and want happens is it starts to split the thicker paint as it dries.❤️

@@tammyandersonart Thanks so much for answering this question I've been playing with this form of art for about 8 months and the last one I did the whole thing cracked this was the first time I've ever had this happen and I must of just used too much paint but now I'm wondering it was the pillow paint that I was using, I usually use artists loft or liquitex and like I wrote before never had a problem , the pillow coat was some off brand I'd never heard of but it was cheap and I thought I'd give it a try so I think it's possible that I used too much paint but I really thing it has to do with that base coat I also noticed that after it had dried it felt chalky and I've never felt that either, lesson learned, thank God I didn't use a new canvas because this was a new paint I was using one of my old scrapped canvases, once again thank you so very much look forward to seeing some more of your fantastic art
