But these all contradictory. You cannot be polarized and relatable unless you copy them, which makes being mysterious impossible. You stay too mysterious, you are unrelatable. You cannot get someone to open up without being trustworthy, which means you can't be mysterious, and must be relatable. Repeat. Actually smoothbrain. Alot these won't work if you arn't already attractive to them, mystery especially. You can't build trust (the most important factor in establishing a relationship. Decades of social studies back this up) The best thing you can do is gain social status within their group: this automatically makes you trustworthy and is actually as close to a "cheat code" as it gets.

One thing that can help with step 5 (be mysterious) is to focus on being more interested and less on being interesting in conversation. Learn to ask questions. Listen. When you notice that you’re wanting to open up, try to think of questions to ask the other person. This is much easier than you think because naturally, people love talking about themselves. So when they leave the conversation, they leave feeling good because they didn’t realize in the moment, but they were talking about their self the entire time. Feeling good about their accomplishments, achievements, etc.

Notes for y’all: Emotional investment - When you make people feel something toward you, you stay in their mind longer and influence them more. This is polarizing guys like Andrew Tate are so popular, you either love or hate him. So he’s either always in your heart or always in your mind. (Crazy I wrote this before number 1 which is polarize) 2. Relatability - when others can relate to us they feel more connected to us (a great way to do this is by telling stories) 3. Make them open up to you - 1. People love talking about themselves so they will like being around you more 2. They feel closer to you when they’ve told you more about them. 4. Create an enemy - When people have a common thing they are going against they feel closer. Which is why different people feel close to others on their side politically 5. Mystery - if other don’t know as much about you they will think about you more. Causing them to feel closer.

I have subconsciously started polarizing people more and more. Before, I tried to be nice to everyone but now I polarize so much that I Have been considered extreme and harsh by some of my friends, that I think I need to take a step back. I don't really know how to get people to open up to me, but I try to be more mysterious. I don't ask any boring yes or no questions, and I try to ask more open-ended questions and I don't reveal much about myself anymore. Oversharing is just not hot.
