Just a quick comment: you can add the same material to many objects and change them individually in runtime. It only changes for all objects if you change on inspector. You can change it on runtime individually like this: Find the object's MeshRenderer and get it's material. private Color transparentColor = new Color(r,g,b,a); // Use the respective rgba values you want meshRenderer.materials[XXXX].SetColor("_Color", transparentColor); //XXXX is the position for that material on the materials list, starting from 0 Do that and you will change the material values for that object only, instead of changing for all that use the same material.

Is there a way to achive this using Opacity maps in Unity URP?? Standard shaders don't work in URP
@DevDunkStudio
Жыл бұрын
What do you mean exactly? You can add a texture with alpha as the base color and if the material is set to transparent it will use the alpha (make sure alpha is transparency is selected on the texture)
@Reee505
Жыл бұрын
@@DevDunkStudio I have an AC Unit texture. I have exported it from Substance as a URP(Universal Render Pipeline) compatible textures. Which include: 1.Albedo transparency map 2. Metallic Smoothness map and a 3. Normal map I baked the normal and vent details from high poly to low. But when I use it with the URP shader it doesn't work the way it's supposed to. It doesn't have a Rendering option like in the Standard shader material. Instead it has Surface type: which has 2 modes Opaque and Transparent. If I choose Transparent it gives me blending modes like Alpha, Premultiply, Additive and Multiple. Non of these help except for Multiple. Which shows the transparency correctly but also darkens the whole model🤦🏼♂️

Do you mean you can see clouds overlapping? Without writing custom shaders or having all clouds in 1 non overlapping mesh, you can't fix this. You can try to look at particle systems or volumetric clouds maybe

Hi Dev Dunk, Can you make a Bolt Visual Scripting KZitem Tutorial with like a split screen of what is going on in the Graph Inspector with the nodes connected, and what it is making an object do in the scene simultaneously? So you would simultaneously show 2 screens one with the Graph Inspector, and another screen showing the behavior of the object in the scene really quickly in like a fast montage of split screen clips, so people can learn Bolt Visual Scripting fast, and find what they are trying to code quickly. I think this would make a great KZitem tutorial and teach people so quickly, can you make a KZitem tutorial like this? this would be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excellent, can you make it dev dunk?
