In France we call this "pain" (bread). A baguette is longer and thinner. That was for the purists. This bread looks pretty good. A tip if the bread is not fresh of the day. Run your hands under water then moist the bread. Then put it in the oven for 2 or 3 minutes. The old bread is now freshened.

The best way to bring life to an old baguette is to put a container with a little bit of water in the oven while it's preheating and then follow the steps in the video as shown. The combination of the steaming and the heat of the oven makes it crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

Toasting is something that is just amazing. Toast exists because toast is more palatable than stale bread. It's a millenia old trick that has turned into one of the best foods to ever exist. If you can get a baguette for half off on your morning commute from the night shift, and toast it, then you have bread for the next two days that you can make lovely toast with.
