Without a doubt, the best crank bait explanation video I've ever seen...and with an added bonus of the shaving tip. Thanks, David!

Great video! I don’t use screw locks because of this issue. I purchased a bunch of your jig heads, thanks for making a great product. Maybe come out with a heavier 1/2 oz or 5/8oz with a more brush style head for bigger plastics. I’m always looking for something like that with out the screw lock. Not many out there.

Another awesome hack!!! My partner and I was winning many tournaments people would follow us. We didn’t mind to much that most other anglers were throwing the Bandit 100 and 200 series in the same color after watching us!! What they didn’t realize was I spent a lot of time boiling them and flattening the sides with welding pliers to give them different wobbles!! They never could figure it out. Big sacks to you on S.R.!!!!

I can't believe you haven't got more subs... Keep up the hard work and good luck this season... Have you ever done the opposite? Meaning file the lip to run shallower. We have a honey hole (my wife calls it pleasure point) the creek splits in two and they are always stacked up there. It's super shallow and even the KVD 1.5 runs to deep. I've tried the shallow KVD 1.5 but the action seems different and they just won't eat it as good.. I currently throw regular 1.5 on 15# and hold my rod tip up. I would prefer to hold my rod level so I can do a sweeping hook set.

Will this also work in the opposite way? In other words, if I shave the top of the lip instead of the bottom, will it run slightly more shallow than designed?

thats a hole lots of hard works on gettin them plugs down a little bit more. Aint knockin on your hack cuz but you can get them birds down real far when you put a egg singer on your line and then put a toothpick in the hole and slide that mug all the way down on that bill. you can chunk them birds from here to arkinsaw too. I got one a them lucky gun fishes down close to 30 one day and they aint even got bills on em

why not just add lead tape on the bill make it drop deeper in the water,or add lead solder to the shank of the front hook?
@dirtfishingdad_2_34
4 жыл бұрын
weighting a hook will make the hook hang lower and hang up more. I add a split ring or two to the front of my cranks to get them deeper. Adding a split ring to the back also tightens wobble in colder water.
@richshackelford5793

Won't do that to a megabass crankbait. Favorite crankbait is a 3xd or a speed trap

Or you can buy the right crankbait. You start taking off the lip by human hands your gonna have a unnormal wobble. It will go right. Go left. Your changing the perfect computer dynamic of the made bill. If it works. Cool.
