Nice. With years of programming experience, some game design study, and nothing to show for it, I'm deciding to pull myself out of a depressive place and try to create hobby projects in Godot; I feel this tutorial was a good start. Easy, but far more straightforward with it than most. Not sure what it is, but there's something frustrating about most tutorials that I didn't feel here. I even swapped the "win" printing line with a show() command for the label saying you win. Felt nice to work that out on my own during my first time sitting in front of a game engine in several years. I hope to see more of Godot's 3D features from you in the future. Stuff like 101 1st/3rd person controllers, managing larger maps, altering skyboxes during gameplay.. for what I'm going to try to do, will probably need to master audio related nodes better than anything anyone would make a tutorial for.. thinking too far ahead. I'm going to go check out your other stuff for now. Build up my skills a bit on your already existing tutorials.

Glad it is helping and I hope you feel better 💪 I try to make my tutorials as simple and to the point as possible, even if some times it is not the "proper" way of doing things, to get people started on making. Happy that it's helping you and thank you for your comment!

late but, since the movement was positional, its depend on the direct of your map. so if you potentially made the shapes 'backwards' the input wont work. this what happened with me so i just 90 degree flipped the project ;p

Add this next to the left and right controls if Input.is_action_pressed("ui_down"): apply_central_impulse(Vector3(0, -0.05, 0.05)) if Input.is_action_pressed("ui_up"): apply_central_impulse(Vector3(0, 0.05, -0.05))

@@emi_cpl I sure would take that over having to export / import things from blender if it's just for a cube with a hole or something, especially when there's a time limit involved! Planning on joining a gamlejam soon? (GMTK is around the corner)
