Great honest review! Vision should be making KRG weight kits and other accessories for us soon. We'll keep everybody posted on our social. Thanks!

Very cool coverage of the Bravo. Was never aware of the aftermarket support, but glad to see it. Im going to invest in a custom action; probably a Bighorn Origin. With that said, I can save money choosing something like the Bravo. Thanks! -Isaac

I still think the Bravo is the best value out there. I sold this rifle off and built my "dream" rifle a couple months ago on a Terminus Zeus action. I was looking hard at the ACC Elite and the Matrix Pro chassis'. In the end I bought yet another Bravo, lol. With my plans on competing in NRL Hunter next year, it still makes the most sense. You can kit it out for PRS, and then strip it back down to a 2.9 lbs chassis to make weight for NRL Hunter. Nothing else out there quite like it.

I just got my fore end on friday for thr TRG 22. For prs, its the absolute best upgrade one can make to a TRG. The same most likely goes for the bravo, since is basically a copy of the trg ergonimics. 350 dollars is a steal. In Finland, we have to pay about 600 to 700 euros for the fore end which translates to up to 800 dollars.

Right on! I'm still loving mine as well. I'll be shooting it in a match this month. 700 euros is rough! I definitely feel like I got a steal, now :)

@@lasvegashelipilot yeah, still I got lucky. Tried to order one from a Finnish importer and vision said that the fore end is not available anymore (asked gcp in SH and they informed me that sales have been so low that vision didnt make any in stock and once demand is high enough they would make more) so was able to find one in stock at a swedish retailer which ended up being 100€ more than from the Finnish retailer. My little gripe with the fore end was that the rear mounting screw hole was a tad mis aligned so had to drill out my trg back bone mounting hole by about 2mm to fit, and also had to shorten the rear bolt with an angle grinder for peace of mind since I felt it went too close to the barrel. For me it wasnt a big deal since my in laws have a farm so they got everything from a welding machine to screw drivers, but for someone who cant do mods I can see it being a big disappointment on such an expensive product. But still I stand by my statement, the best upgrade you can make considering prs. A fraction of a price versus full vision chassis and also getting the trg rear ergonomics which fit me perfectly. Kinda on the fence if I like ar15 style ergonimics on boltguns or no.

I know this an old video, @lasvegashelipilot but what bag rider is that on the bravo that you are using?
@lasvegashelipilot

it was a KRG bag rider. You should be able to find it on their website.

Had a bravo with that same forend. The problem is the arca is too close to the weights. I had to grind down my steel weights so the bipod could move freely. The grey ops weights and the MDT both overlap the arca.

thanks for the comment. im running the ARC weights which are a bit smaller and don't have that problem.

wow, I had to go check the website to see what you were talking about. I paid $350 for the gen 2 version when I made this video. that is quite a price increase.

Great review! What made you switch from the Remington to the Tikka T3?
@lasvegashelipilot
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! To be honest I felt a bit underwhelmed by my Bighorn / Zermatt Origin action. The Tikka feels smoother. And I got the Tikka (lightly used) in a KRG Bravo chassis for less money than I spent on just the Origin action alone. I was a little worried about losing all of the trigger options you get with a R700 footprint action, but the factory trigger with a $10 spring mod on the Tikka is as good as any Timney or Triggertech that I've owned. Ultimately the Tikka route was a much better value. I'm really happy I made the switch.

If you have an R700 pattern action, would you get the vision or the KRG ARCA Enclosed forend?
@lasvegashelipilot
Жыл бұрын
Hard to say, I don't think you can really go wrong with either. Since making this video KRG has come out with the ARCA Enclosed forend for the Tikka, and I just got one this week to test out. So far my favorite part about the enclosed forend is the way I can grip it near the top of the barrel when shooting off a barricade without actually touching the barrel. What I don't love about it is the lack of m-lok slots for weights to dial in the balance. But they're both awesome upgrades over the standard forends.

very comparable chassis, but I would choose the KRG just because there are way more accessories available, and a lot of interchangeability between all of KRG's chassis'. You could have a heavy Whiskey-3 all kitted out for PRS matches and then buy a Bravo buttstock and transform it into a nice light hunting rig, for example, without purchasing a whole separate chassis.
