You can remove the cork mats easily with a heat gun or hair-dryer. It softens the glue and allows you to peel it off. Bonus tip, use the cork mat for basing!

@@TheAll-InNerd I can confirm, using a heat gun or hairdryer works really well at loosening the glue. A paint scraper is also useful to help scrape up the glue.

You could have gotten a way more secure box for the same price. I like everything but the wench strap. I personally would have gone with the elastic band that was the same color. Keep in mind not a lot of budget gamers have an air brush.

This is kinda obvious, but the other great thing about this is if you want to store it at home each box slots perfectly into one of the squares in a Kallax unit.

I was just looking into this! You can use the cork side of the trays to make really cool display dioramas that fit with your minis bases, since cork is super easy to cut and shape to. And cutting holes in the cork for your minis will expose the steel, so you can magnetize. That would be cool! One note- you accidentally set the dialogue audio from the voiceover segments to only play in the left ear. Remember to set output to mono if you're recording in mono. It's a pretty easy mistake to make, not a super big deal if you're listening on a phone, but it is noticeable on other devices. Also, the links in the description to what you used aren't working. Again, your channel is super underrated. Keep up the good work!

Hey man thanks for all the constructive feedback! I really appreciate it! Sadly I can't do anything about the audio, that's just silly that I didn't notice it myself. I did have some other audio-issues after recording tho that probably all connect! I promise I'll do better! 😅😆 There's a lot of time, love and effort being put into these so I really appreciate the feedback! 😄 And yeah the idea about the cork dioramas sounded really cool! Some of the cork was a lot easier to remove so it could work out quite good! Hope you have a great day!

@@TheAll-InNerdwhat size did you use for things like the drill hole, rivets, etc? What magnet size would you recommend to magnetize the shelves to the inside?
@TheAll-InNerd
7 ай бұрын
@@akumaking1 Well the size of the drill depends on the size of the rivets. For the ones I used I drilled with a 4 and a 5mm drill. And the magnets I used was 2x5mm.

would you use this for taller minis like demon princes or even knights?
@TheAll-InNerd

It is of course possible to take out the trays to make room for a single bigger model. I haven’t tried it tho because I don’t own any knights or similar myself. The biggest I’ve tried is tanks and saint Celestine. I can’t tell if any new problem would occur.

What was the overall price of materials? Rivets and glue gun ect.
@TheAll-InNerd
5 ай бұрын
I used 23 x Rivets and at most 2 stick of glue. So that should be around another $1.5 depending on what quantity and quality you get the material in. If you need to buy all the tools used in the video there will be a lot more expensive.

@The All-in Nerd I was excited to mod the Kvissle to store my army (reinforced corners with pop rivets, took the cork out of drawers). With the weight of the minis creating downward pressure, the middle drawer is falling downwards. I'm noticing it's because the sides of the box are slightly bowing outwards which makes the drawer guides/rails in the sides stretch out. This seems an inherent design problem with this drawers. Since lots of people in the asoiaf community mention using these specific drawers for storage, I was hoping someone had found a solution. Has anyone found a solution for this that does not mess up with the functionality of the drawers?
@TheAll-InNerd
Жыл бұрын
Hey man! I did’nt notice that problem. You must have had some heavy minis! 😅 If possible I would use the bottom of the Kvissle for heavy stuff like that or vehicles. Another thing would be to have some kind of thin bar or string going through the box from side to side keeping the walls from bending. But that would make it harder to use taller models in that level of the box.

It does weigh a bit more than the boxes made out of very light steel or MDF but it’s not that bad. But when you out in a few rulebooks, codexes and so on it always get a bit heavy. 😄
