Hi, by accident, I've just watched your vid on making a twig stove. I was impressed and highly recommend it, but was disappointed that comments were suppressed and couldn't see why, hence my comments to you here. Well thought out design, good idea to show your cardboard template - I wish more KZitemrs would be brave enough to do the same - as it shows the thinking behind the development before wasting time labouriously building a half-baked design. And it a good. Very good. Uncluttered, uncomp!icated. With only one suggestion: the inclusion of 1 or 2 pairs of additional holes higher-up on which to rest an alcohol stove or esbit-type solid fuel tablet platform (with a mention to 'fan-assist' - see "four dogs" whom I've only met today). OK, the positioning of these would require a bit more thought for optimum burn efficiency but would add considerably to it's flexibility as a stove without adding to the build weight. Fortunately you don't need to do the calcs yourself as they would be stove/fuel dependant and its only fair to make the customiser do some thinking for his/her-self. But I think its worth a mention, even if only in the description. Enough said, if not more than, so thanks again - and now to watch this vid.

Hi Rob, so glad you gave your feedback ! The twig stove was my first video that i published, so i was a nuby....so based on your feedback I rechecked the settings today to see whatsup with the comments. It says "all comments allowed" so not too sure why you couldn't. Anyways, glad to see the design worked for you (mostly)...I use it just for twigs when it's raining hard while portaging in the interior i can always find something dry/dead at the bottom of a standing try, so the bolt placement works for me, but modifying it for your application is a great idea. The amount of concentrated heat in a twig stove is incredible. I did modify the design slightly after that video, but didn't update the video...my apologies. I eliminated some more of the metal to allow for better air intake when a Pot is on top, as it was definately missing some air intake. Otherwise, after a bunch of years it works perfectly. I did buy a manufactured one, but was disappointed with the size and weight so mine is much better :) Thank you, RichardJ
