Thank you so much sir, much appreciated, even a high end render from Unreal still needs the magic of Davinci

Great job bro. I usually change my “color manager” in the project settings to my UE export settings just to prevent extra nodes. But this way was awesome since the change is visible. Nice work bro!

Beautiful work as usual! Question, some of your scenes look like the Unreal City Demo for assets. Is there a way to migrate them to a smaller level? I have the demo, but its massive and crushes my system each time to get into it. It would be great to grab only the assets I need and migrate them to a small more compact map version for filming. Thanks again.
@postprocessed

Hey, I tried doing it by moving small city map to another project and performance became absolute trash, because city sample utilizes some sort of optimization which works only in this project, so you either need to build it by yourself, or use city sample and delete some stuff from it. Like traffic and crowd

Really great tutorials on your Chanel! How do you tacle radial Motion Blur in UE? The Docs say they have developed a Shader for that.. but it is an illusion of rotation and how will you than shoot close ups of rotating wheels for a cinematic? What is your Workflow for radial Motion Blur in UE?

This MB problem is only happening in real time, for renders you don't need to worry about it, it is always on point

Don't you need to disable the tone curve when rendering out of Unreal to utilize the full dynamic range in Davinci?
@postprocessed
11 ай бұрын
Tone curve needs to be disabled for stencil layers or if you are using alpha channel in your rendering. Otherwise it is fine to keep it, just use see what works best. I know disabling tone curve may affect emissive materials
@lummi_vfx
11 ай бұрын
@@postprocessed Ah good to know. I had to do some testing and it definitely affects the dynamic range as well. When it's off I'm able to push things much further than when it's on so for heavy color grading I would definitely recommend that. The difference is kind of like RAW versus LOG

I'm watching your video very hard And I'm working hard on cinematic videos. I have a question. I'm rendering with path tracing and my video shows steps in the reflection of glass or carbody. Do you know why? For reference, the reflection capture of the project setting has a resolution of 1024, and the anti-alasing of MovieRenderQ is 36, 36. And the post-process samples per pixel is 1024.
@postprocessed
Жыл бұрын
You mean steps like… reflection on the car body/glass is not hi res and made out of squares?
@copperband43
Жыл бұрын
@@postprocessed It's the reflection of the surrounding buildings on the glass and the body. It's not a clean reflection It looks like a zigzag like a staircase. I want to show you the screen capture, but there is no way.

I have an animated object in the level in Unreal and I wanna look at it while it is moving from Unreal Camera, I set the view to camera then whenever I click Play the level the view goes out from the camera automatically, can you please guid me how to fix it since I didn’t find a solution on internet. (I don’t have sequence in the project level).

You need to create a blueprint which should be PAWN. So it will be possessed by Player 0 automatically. Check out "Camera pawn" in google or UE forums.

I never encountered this issue in city sample... maybe... there are some settings in material? try creating your own simple glass and see if that disappears too? Or check post processing volume settings with PT
