I think watching your video on power hammer construction has provided a proven concept that may be scaled up for different applications. It truly has added confidence and motivation for the viewer to make one tailored to their needs. The crank plate, revolving mass the frame and moter work together to become an excellent resource for inspiration. Thanks for the model

Thank you for putting this video out there, Been trying to build power hammer for many years, sourcing parts and pieces, but hadn't seen the proper build of this type until now, of course ours will be majorly over sized, using a 3 inch (76.2mm) hammer shaft with a 5 inch (127mm) anvil shaft, again thanks for the inspiration and information!!!

Why is it on most of the video you see about welding projects nobody runs a weld bead,instead they put a bunch of tacks?
@cobre7717
2 жыл бұрын
Most likely because they are using mains-line voltage without a secodary coil or transformer/ welder to adjust voltage to a colder setting. Just hooking the welding rod straight to the wall outlet. Then they just do some extra hot tacks instead of a constant humongous weld using proper voltagefor the thickness of material being welded. Also if you look there is no bevels on any of the fit up to allow for proper weld penetration. Its just short pecks of extra spicy overcooked weld.

@@jackshadow325 It's not the hammer that I'd worry about. It's all the moving parts above it. I guess as long as it's for personal use in someone's backyard, it's ok if they get their hair caught in that belt and their face slams into the pulley.
