They're so cute! For my covered buttons I like to make a little circular paper pattern the right size, which really saves time when cutting out a lot of them.

Vincent Briggs Thank you! I also love paper patterns for buttons for my unembroidered buttons but I found it too much of a hassle for embroidered ones because lining up the embroidered design to be in the center of an opaque paper pattern proved to be difficult. :D

As I marveled over the needles working their way through your embroidery design, I remembered the noises the machine ACTUALLY makes. The background music made that part of the video especially relaxing to watch, at least from my screen! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy your contents :)

At the start of the video I assumed it was a Dorset button with embroidery sewn onto a bit of felted wool. This was so very interesting!! Thank you for sharing

Love it! I've been enjoying your garments and posts on Instagram for some time and really enjoy any extra SewStine content. I also just started embroidering and digitizing myself, so watching your how to videos is very helpful and inspirational!

Looking at the silk thread page, they don’t have it listed as “embroidery” thread, but it obviously works for you. Do you use regular bobbin thread or do you need a different weight/type with the silk thread? Also have you tried the metallic threads by them? I’m looking at using silver and gold thread.

You can correct the slant of that button to make it round with "Perspective correction". Most graphics software can do it. The GIMP is free.

I do theater costume and use Bernina, so I need embroidery, but not enough to drop $2k on it. Since it’s in beta, there’s not a lot of tutorials on it, but I figured it out fairly well with very little previous digitizing experience.
