Wow! The making of these in such a short time span was, in itself, an epic adventure. I have made many sheets of paper over the years, yet am no where near your level of mastery. Watching this short documentary was very encouraging, inspiring, motivating. You really do have this down to a science or maybe an art form. Thank you for sharing.

Oh my goodness! YOU ARE AMAZING Lisa! I am laughing that my husband doesn’t think much of my crafting while he loves his games and yet here they both are craft and games in perfect combination! Hahaha! I bet whoever receives their games in those gorgeous books will cherish your creations forever. ❤️

You should try covering one with a chamois cloth and one in leather. Or leather outer and chamois inner on the covers to make an old-looking book.

Hi Lisa! You've inspired me to make my own paper. I made my own mold and deckle with cheese cloth, but it's difficult to separate the paper from the cloth after i dry it with a sponge. it just doesn't come off. any reason why?
@julianadomingos4047
2 жыл бұрын
you can first check if your sponge is too wet, another tip is to "rub" with the sponge to loosen the paper, a few taps can also help to "glue" the paper to the fabric, I hope I helped you

May I know what type of material you use for your mold and deckle screen? I’m struggling so so much in getting the paper off the deckle it keeps sticking to the edges and I take 4 hours to make only 10 pieces of papers 🥲

Amazing project. Well done! Inspiring to see how you're making the paper, we will definately try that out for sure. You should check out Nerdforge and the way Martina uses a chair to help out with the binding. Then you can stack several books on top of eachother when binding as well. :)
