I wrap my bars, and get compliments for them like that, yes it does take longer but it’s worth it. It’s lovely to see you wrapping the bars. Thanks

As a chronic over thinker with very little confidence in things I dont understand, I cant begin to explain my deep gratitude for people like you, who say "yes you can" to someone like me. Someone who has been told the opposite for his whole life. I have quite a bit of equipment and make wonderful soap and I have dipped my toe in the water but still have yet to jump in, even though I see so many people enjoying the swim. Thank you. I'll get there because of beautiful folks like you. ❤

It’s amazing the price difference from Australia to America. Depending on size and oils I’m from $5.50 to $8.00 US dollars which I converted about $8.50- $12.30 a bar Australian dollars, but I understand about the branding part your talking about which is excellent so I am trying to change all my products and downsize what are my largest in sales. It’s funny depending on what part of the country I live depends on my sales. Where I am now I do sell more then I did up North in NY. You are an inspiration & so helpful with all you share.😊

I have found it incredibly interesting following and analysing so many professional Soap and Candlemakers feedback on starting/surviving/suceeding in this sort of bizo. For me...and as you yourself have alluded to many times...it's about loving what you do. I personally love the whole opportunity to do something you enjoy and that is creative. It's not easy starting your own bizo and for me personally this bizo may not be for me. but heck, all I know is I am thoroughly enjoying learning/exploring it all. From what I currently observe, it will be a long long time before I can give up my full time job as need to support my household financially as a Sole parent. But that's ok because I'm so keen to explore and find my niche with so many opportunities out there.

Your so smart lovely xx I always say don’t give up your job as the road to success is a long one and many large companies will tell you that it took a decade to get there. It’s fun and worth it, I always think new doors open all the time so you never know where the hobby will take you

@@NelsonInteriorSoapery Thanks Rhonda xx I've always appreciated your particular honesty and candour. Lol....I absolutely love soap and candle making. It's like therapeutic and cant wait to get home after work, light up a candle and unmould/cut soap. Such a satisfying sense of achievement to think "I made that". And yes, I'm certainly not giving up on having my own bizo, it will take time, perserverance and due diligence. Always appreciate the support and knowledge you share. Have a great day. 😀

It’s standard paper if I do it myself if when I order from vista print it’s flyer paper as it needs to be thin enough to neatly wrap

Hi Rhonda! How do I go about having just one recipe for soap? I have so many combinations of oils and butters. It would be more simple just to have one recipe. I think it would be easier to build up a stock that way.
@NelsonInteriorSoapery

You can just use a base recipe and change the fragrance only. Find the recipe you like the most and use that as your base recipe

What are those sheets you’re wrapping with before you wrap with the outer wrapper ?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery

Its baking paper as it helps the soap to move better in the wrap. It also stops any oil residue from coming onto the paper

I've seen 60$ usa bottle of liquid hand soaps in shop. It's out there and selling so! There is definitely people out there with the money and willing to pay. Small business shouldn't low-ball themselves for all the work they put in. Quality oils and fragrances are NOT CHEAP especially if you buy organic stuff 😬
