---------------------------
- What makes this tool special?
It is used pulling, bit like japanese tools. It might take bit time to get used to it, but it seems to me, that it is a powerful and precise way. The curved blade makes it suitable for many different tasks.
- What iron to use for it?
I took an old hand-plane blade and an old file - both carbon steel which can be hardened. Also the blades from planer/thicknesers should be suitable. 2-3 mm thickness and about 15 cm long.
- What will you use it for?
I made it specially to make a paddle for my canoe. But let's see what all it is good for. It will be the first time i use such a tool, so i will first get known with it.
- Why you are using firewood?
Why not? It works and is available, so why should i use anything else? I feel good living independent.
