You can find the supplies I used in this video at creativelycuriousart.com/Cinch
I love a good travel journal, junk journal, art journal, bullet journal- you get the picture, I love journals. And if you’ve been following me here (or any other social platform) you’ll know that I also love repurposing books. I like to come up with new and creative ways to reuse a book that would otherwise go in a landfill. I’ve done tons of book page paper crafts and I’ve show now to use the covers of books for junk journals but wanted to show something a little less complex that can literally be done in about 30 minutes.
Since I love journaling and I love finding new uses for old books decided to combine those into journal making seems pretty obvious. But it wasn’t until I was on a recent day trip that the idea use old books for journal making even crossed my mind. We were at a local used book store when I saw a custom journal selection made out of vintage books. They were repurposing books to make these really cool and custom journals. It really inspired me to go home and pull out my We R Memory Keepers cinch machine to make my own diy journal.
I thought a tiny journal diy would be a great way to teach you hot to assemble a journal (or how to assemble a planner) using the Cinch Journal Machine. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to craft a journal. The machine could also be used to creative diy inserts for your journals after the your pages are all full. This post is not sponsored but I do love that I can use the machine to make a recycled journal and keep using it to make other creative recycling ideas.
What do you think of the diy simple journal that uses old books to make customized journals? Would you like to see more videos of what to do with old books or maybe more recycled craft ideas? Or just let me know if you like seeing old book days in general, your comments really help me to decided what content to make!
*Again this video is NOT sponsored, I just really like the @WeR_Makers Cinch Machine!
