People greatly underestimate how much difference these small parts make in the overall appearance of an engine bay. You easily could have thrown a couple of vice bent crappy brackets on there but you understand that its worth spending the extra couple hours on the small stuff. Always look forward to your vids and you killed it again. Keep it up man. Im still interested in a hat if you get any made.

Very nice channel thank you! And I agree 100%. I came up with a little saying the other day in my garage: "Perfect enough!" Sometimes instead of going super OCD and going back over something for the 10th time, you gotta step back and say "it's perfect enough," button it up and move onto the next thing, or you'll never get anything done! And usually, it probably IS plenty perfect. Subbed.

I feel you on the "how to" part. Most of my videos focus on instructional stuff, and its hard to find a good balance between attitude and teaching folks how to do stuff. One of those generates a lot of views, but few subs.
@Thefabforums

+MaksWerks Yeah thats what I found
@BasinMotorsports

+MaksWerks So the question becomes, what can you do about it? We can all see our own channel analytics, but sometimes numbers don't represent trends. Those you have to determine yourself. Is there a successful strategy for content addition without it becoming too much work?
@Makswerks1
8 жыл бұрын
+CanaanManley I have been working at changing the way I do videos. Some videos are strictly instructional - I try to keep it attitude free and deliver instructions, and make sure I discuss anything relevant. In other videos I will do time lapses, throw in more color and in general make them fun and exciting to watch. those videos feed my sub count, because people keep coming back to see more fun videos. By separating these into two different sets I get the views I want and the subs I want. I *think* its working as my sub count has started picking up more recently whiles the rise in views is pretty consistent. Meaning I am reaching more and more people (at the same rate as before) but more of them are staying. If that makes sense.

Good advice man. Call me crazy, but not knowing what the hell I'm doing half the time is half the fun! It's exciting to see a problem or a need, looking at what you have available in tools and material, and coming up with "something" to solve the problem or address the need. That "something" doesn't always look like it came from Summit, but sometimes it does. Hell, I stare at my results with a smile regardless of what it looks like because I built instead of buying it or paying someone else to do it. You got killer skills that I aspire to and tools I wish I had, but to me it just seems like if I knew exactly what I was doing it would feel like work instead of fun. Keep it up! Your vids have the right mix of personality, music, and info. I'm entertained and I either learn something or I add a little "Ahaa, good idea!" for my buggy every time I watch.

Another Awesome Vid! My son and I love your channel. Thanks for sharing what you know. I do have a few questions. My research has shown that those 3-in-1 sheet metal tools (break, shear and roller) have a max capacity of 22g. That aluminum sheet you used looked much thicker. Is your 3-in-1 rated for thicker gauge? What gauge aluminum were you using? is it difficult to work with in you 3-in-1? Thanks! Keep up the great work.

if i need a how too i do a search on you tube for it the fabrication itself is a lot more interesting when you dont explane every thing you do shortening the clips of the different steps helps a lot too bracket looks nice , i'm kindah surized you didnt made an aluminium beadrolled fan shroud for it too saving up for a tig welder thinking bout buying this one : www.lasexpert.nl/files/6736/products/8808426/tig220pknoppen.jpg the brand is giant and its made in azia seems to have every option i would ever need in a inverter style welder and its REALY cheap and about the highest amp welder i can find that still works of the 220 volts housemains here its not a miller or a lincoln but then again i dont use it a enough to rectify the difference in price between the giant and those two one of these days when i have the truck rolling and driving and start making the dresspanels for the interior and enginebay im going after a beadroller and these nifty holepunch / flangertools too gonna have to buy some steel office cabinets to store everything in as whell the place is starting to fill up and i cant see the trees through the forrest
