I always wanted a coach maker's filing vise and a blacksmith's leg vise on a stand, so I took this opportunity to fabricate a heavy duty double vise stand. I took some 5/8" steel plate up to my friend's shop and cut out the top plate on his plasma CNC. I had a piece of 6" x 14" I-Beam which I cut to length with my Lincoln Tomahawk 1000 plasma cutter. I decided on a 28" round disk of 3/4" steel plate for the base. Got all the parts fixtured up on my Strong Hand Tools Rhino Cart and welded it in together with my Lincoln PowerMig 210MP running .035" wire. Unfortunately, due to a camera memory card failure, I lost the footage of using my magdrill to drill and tap mounting holes in the top plate for the two vises, but I managed to capture the actual installation of the vises.
