Seriously love this video. I've been watching all sorts of composite DIYs for a while and this is such a helpful, true DIY take on a project that it's been one of the most valuable. Thank you!

@@jrmfabrications in all seriousness you showed that the average person can do this and get good results. hopefully people will be encouraged to try things with their projects without fear of failure. keep at it.

How did you end up mounting it to the BMW? Did you cut your won screw holes?
@Absolute_Gaming420

You cracked it when you were removing it from the mold,you had to pull the ends inward to clear the mold. The ends of the mold should have been removable so the part can be pulled straight out. The imperfections are from starting we/too heavy of a mat , start w/.5oz & work your way up. Also if the resin is thinner it will saturate the mat better ( use styrene to thin polyester resin )

@@jrmfabrications No worries- I’ve been doing composites for 25 years & still learn new tricks ! Looks like you’re in Europe, look up “Easy Composites “ over there , they have some very good training videos & all the supplies you’ll need. Have a good one from Florida 👍
