We needed a giant chandelier for Triad Stage's production of "39 Steps", so we made one. I have a bit more information over at my blog: www.props.eric-hart.com/how-to...
Didn't expect to turn out to be this good! Keep it up, literally, haha!

That’s because the style for both is Empire style. You can tell because it has a tapered top section with a basket underneath

This was, simply, amazing!! I'm a bit envious of your creative ability to think this up and see the vision through to completion! :D I didn't see any electrical wiring during the process, so I'm guessing that the bulbs were just for show?

A friend is buying a third floor ballroom untouched for about 100 years. She hopes to restore it. The ceilings are 17 feet high. What are the dimensions of your work here? And source of the beads, please? Thank you. Your set designers are lucky to have your talent.

Awesome idea and design. May I ask what the material you glued around the rings is called? I'm trying to fine something like it to maybe buy but I can't for the life of me figure out how to search for it. Thanks!

Are you talking about the glue holding the wood to the welded frame, or the glue holding the decorative metal banding to the wood? The glue holding the wood to the frame is Liquid Nails, and I used Weldwood Contact Cement to hold the decorative metal to the wood.
@liamhilt1822

The decorative metal was what I was looking for not so much the glue. So is that all it is called decorative metal? Thanks again.
@EricHartProps

Yeah, it was just some thin stamped tin that came in a roll. It was with the floral ribbon at Hobby Lobby, so I think it's just something decorative that people use when they're making flower arrangements.

+Lq Scents There's not really a "full video". I only filmed certain parts, which is what ended up in this video. Each of the individual clips are a bit longer, but only because I edited out the repetitive bits, or the parts where I dropped the camera.

Yes. The plastic crystals have a bit of an iridescent coating on them which help them catch and reflect the light.
