Jason, I'm a new viewer, and I have to tell you...I really enjoy your videos! I don't live too far away from where you do, and my friend and I would like to try polishing rocks. Would you please email me at: scotianprince1@gmail.com, so I can ask you a couple of questions? We sure would appreciate hearing from you! We were at Scott's Bay yesterday, and got some really nice material!

i'm a rockhounding , Metal detecting ,type of guy , so when you said ring of rocks all my treasure hunters hairs stood on end, cool idea with allot of meaning to it , a great way to carry tiny pieces of someplace special with you, rings are already powerful, this kinda makes them as personal as they could get, I think even more than a set gem stone ring. it would be cool for anyone who missed home to have one with bits of their land, or for memory rings of a vacation ! very fun and something that the youngsters can do is always a great thing !

Amazing. I like the domed ring because it has more rocks but the flatter ring would be more comfortable as Rob said. Just put more rocks in the flatter one next time. Beautiful and ingenious.
@RockhoundingLife
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kathy. I like the the domed one as well. The flat one actually has the same amount of rocks, the issue is that the aventurine and moss agate blend in really well with the riverbed mixture so they are tough to see from a distance. In sunlight up close you can see them and they look really cool. But you are right the flat ring is more comfortable to wear. Next time I won't set the stones as high above the inlay channel on the domed ring so I don't have to apply as much resin. That will allow me to make a flatter dome profile and it will fit more comfortably. Thanks for watching!!
