Jig heads are the best bit of fishing tackle there is and i thought I would make my own mould for casting some up for box of odd size hooks I bought at a bargain price. Yes you can buy jig heads for next nothing but where is the fun in that? Heat resistant RTV silicone is easiest method I know and cures quick enough so i cast handful and get back down the lake with some soft plastic lures. For this project I used Lead Free pewter which is not a cheap as lead or as heavy but by increasing the size of ball on the jig it makes a great alternative.
