Anyone who has a bag made by you is fortunate indeed. Superb workmanship. You have given me a renewed appreciation for hand-sewn leather bags. I had NO idea how much work, care, and expertise are required to produce high quality bags.

The whole process was hypnotizing. Loved it. How long did it take to craft the bag? And how did you get started in leather working? After watching your video I want to make something right now!
@garyipip
9 жыл бұрын
Muhammad Zubair Thank you. Hypnotizing... I like that!!! It took one afternoon to make this bag. I am fascinated by leathers since I was a teenager, leather bags, boots, jackets... etc.! I remember I bought my first vintage biker leather jacket for 45 Canadian dollars from a vintage clothing shop in Toronto, it was 1995 if I remember correctly; the zipper was broken, so I replaced the zipper, without any knowledge of leather works, it was a real pain in the ass, I broke a few needles, and took one whole day to replace the zipper. I still have the jacket in my closet now. For the last few years, I have made a few wallet for myself since I couldn't find one that really fit my needs, until last year, after watching some videos about leather works from youtube, I thought if I was going to do some leather works, I might as well do it properly with the right tools. So I started to invest on the tools, the more tools I got, the more serious I get... but there is one sure thing, there are a lot out there for me to learn...!!! go ahead and make something, a coin purse, a wallet, or even a jacket, who knows, make yourself happy, happy stitching...!!!

***** The contact adhesive is called "Rubstik Tropic Contact Adhesive", made in Hong Kong, I found it very good for leather works. The threads are made in China polyester waxed thread, 210D (approx. 1.5mm). Happy stitching...!!!

Graeme Miller Thank you. I am sorry that I haven't got the time to organize the templates yet.The template size of the main pocket is 7 inch (width) x 9.5 inch (height); the front pocket is 8 inch (width) x 7 inch (height); and the flap is 6 inch (width) x 4 inch (height). The finished product is roughly 6 inch (width) x 9 inch (height). Hope it helps, happy stitching...
