Like some others, I like that using minimal tools you can make a VERY nice eyeglass case. Your videos are always great to watch. My favorite part was the baby and the great family noises in the back ground - kinda comforting.

Hi Gary, very nice, I have a suggestion I glued a small piece of leather, skin side down on the anvil, prevents marring and other marks on the snap head.✝️⚾🙃

Cool! I like that you use only very basic tools and no chemistry. I think that leather, awl, compass, needles, snaps, beveler and slicker cost less that any quality case for glasses, so everybody can have some fun without breaking a piggy bank.

Hi, I would like to start leatherworking as a hobby and want to buy some pre-dyed and finished leather so as a beginner I do not have to worry about dying and finishing. Do you have any good recommendations on the type of dyed leather? I am thinking about buying some drum dyed veg tanned 8-10oz leather off of eBay to make a hobby out of it and make some knife sheaths and a holster for my 1911. Would that be good leather to start with?

hello garyipip (I beg your pardon for machine translation of the text) Periodically I watch your videos about leather handicrafts. Thank you for a sufficiently detailed video. I have a question for you. how do you make templates for further cutting of the skin, because not all products are straight, there is a certain volume of products, you need to calculate the length and everything else. Thank you in advance.
@garyipip

Thank you very much!!! that's simple, if the shape is not a straight line, it means it doesn't really matter, you always leave some leeway so that you can trim that extra bit off.
