Good points. Multiple streams of income is key. Get enough streams flowing and they become a river.

Hi Doug, great content as always. I see your doors are tack welded, do you use mig, tig or a spot welder for this? Im curious as I tend to burn through thin metal with my mig gun. thx

Not sure if it matters but I'm using .035 flux core mig wire. I don't have number settings on machine but I use 'C' for voltage which is one under the highest my machine can go. The trick is to weld the sheet metal on a solid surface so it thinks its thicker. My workbench is MDF so theres no chance of welding to my table. Fresh cut welding wire on clean metal also helps to hit it quick. Hope that helps

Thank you thank you thank you thank you Doug! This information is so very important for me as I very good at making "STUFF" but have no inkling about business. With well over 40 years building in the World of Fabrication, I am incredibly excited to begin career # 2 so that I can learn the business end of career # 3 my Outdoor Industrial furniture business. What? I have good longevity in my family.

@@ArtfullyRogue no Doug, I don't. Like I said I am so not a businessman that the few things I have built for people I've lost money on before I even started the job, like in the estimate of material. Mostly because I'm a nice guy an a softy.

Thank you SO much DJ!! I'm super stoked! I've been trying to get my 5000 video ready to shoot for this Saturday. Just getting all the bits and pieces dialed in for my version of a Rube Goldberg method of opening a celebratory beer :)
